Information Operations Roadmap

Pentagon releases a document detailing directives and objectives in PSYOPs and Electronic Warfare, on a national level, from influencing public opinion through new media to designing "computer network attack" weapons

All images (besides the banner) were ripped from this DoD (partially) declassified document. Officials in the Pentagon wrote it in 2003. The Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, signed it. Download the DoD's (partially) declassified Information Operations Roadmap now. I provide many juicy quotes here, but there may be some other things in it that would interest you like the IO Recommendation Milestones, on page 69.

The lack of reporting seems to prove that this plan is in effect. Google News only has one page of the phrase "fight the net", and 2 pages of "information operations roadmap", even though the first article appeared 13 days ago on January 27th. All reporting agencies are independent or international, except for this short article by the LA Times that doesnt even provide a link to the document.

Warning, trying to print the entire 78 documents will tax your ink cartridge, because its full of black bars over the text.

I love reading "unclassified" documents where the good parts get the black ink. Reminds me of the air Force, and the Blue Book.

Great stuff, a shame the Germans do not manage to be so critical of their government because of the welfare that corrupts them.
