Dear Friends and Fans,

here we are, finally having arrived safely at home. The temperature difference between Texas and Baden-Württemberg is 25 degrees Celsius as the fall has already arrived in Germany. What I really appreciate about the tour is first of all the American audience, being so friendly and emotional. We will never forget this. Moreover, all the nice little conversations with our fans after the show. Thank you so much for all the flowers, toys and beautiful words. This made our third North-American tour an amazing experience!

One thing which really kept us busy between the shows was the fact that only half of our equipment arrived at the right place after our flight from Germany, Stuttgart to Washington. Luckily, Kamelot helped us out the best way they could. However, playing shows without our own in-ears, microphones, guitars and other electrical equipment was hardly manageable and the situation did not change before some of the missing gear suddenly turned up and was delivered in Denver, two-and-a-half weeks after our arrival! Tosso (guitars) spend hours and hours and hundreds of dollars on phoning with KLM, talking to a number of people who mostly did not want to involve in the "lost cases" problem. We lost an immense amount of time and money due to a mistake which was done by the airline company. As the final case arrived, we found only bits and pieces of our equipment – it had been destroyed by the customs! At the check in, going home, we were forced to pay even more money for a couple of kilos overweight, despite the fact that we had already lost so much money because of the terrible way KLM had treated us. As we arrived in Stuttgart, another case had been opened and damaged and the drum cases haven`t even arrived yet. Well done, KLM!

Finally, I would like to thank the crew and Kamelot for making the live situation somehow manageable. I would like to thank our fans and friends for making this tour unforgettable. I would also like to thank our own crew and my band members for being such wonderful and amazing friends. Our baby-sitter did a fantastic job, too, and made the tour a wonderful experience for our son. Thank you Casey (Kamelot) for letting him play on your amazing drumkit. The drumming adventure continues at home!

Also the adventure of Leaves`Eyes continues; we will hopefully see many of you at the Metal Female Voices Festival in Belgium October 20th as we will record this special event for our up-coming DVD, moreover, we are already back at the Mastersound Studio, composing and recording our third full-length album! Our final show will be November 10th in Krefeld with our friends from Blind Guardian…and then it`s already…Christmas! I doubt they will have snow in Texas, though!

Take good care + love,

Liv

OMG It's Jeff! WTF!?

It really sucks that so much of your equipment got destroyed. I hope that you make KLM pay for your lost equipment and possibly lost revenue as well.

Somebody also told me that you (Liv) got food poisoning when you first got here. The only thing I could think was "Oh that poor girl!" but that even though you were sick you still performed and did a great job.

Kudos to you all for being such an amazing, friendly band. I look forward to your next album and your next tour.

I am glad you had a good time in the US, that hopefully means you will come back in the future. I first discovered your music a few weeks after you had left the east coast so I had no chance to see you live so its really good news for me you will have a DVD capturing this tour. Looking forward to your new CD as well :)

Hälsningar i från en svensk i USA!

haha, yes, a snowy Christmas (or any snow days) in Texas is pretty much impossible!! :)

It was wonderful to see you all live and talk with you! That really sucks about KLM and the terrible treatment & wasting of time/money. No one is deserving of such treatment, especially not Leaves' Eyes!!

Can't wait for the DVD & new album, and I hope Leon liked the toy :) see you in May!!

oh, and cool pic of Liv with Roy!

Cheers from Texas.
Sheila

I'm so glad that Kamelot helped you through your tour, though! The loaning of instruments to babysit little Leon! ;>D
I'm also glad to hear that your previous North American tour went superb! I'm most definitely going to try harder than I have ... for the past ones. ;>]
Well, I can't wait (actually I can) for the DVD and new CD! ;>D

P.S. = According to my times looking out for the weather on the Weather Channel, I don't believe there's snow in Texas. Hahaha! But, there is here at Buffalo by November! ;>D

Between the stress of the airline and the great touring experience, it sounds like somewhat of a bittersweet experience. Hopefully the positive memories will outlast the undesirable ones!

I introduced my friends to the music of Leaves Eyes and Kamelot only shortly before we attended the concert, but they went crazy at the concert nonetheless. It was the first time they had ever attended a metal concert, and they were simply blown away... and getting Liv's autograph afterward made it even more of special! You guys have drawn together a wonderful community of fans, and we love you for all the hard work you do. With another tour to look forward to (and coming right to my hometown in April!!), plus a live DVD and new album, you guys have given me not only some great memories, but much to look forward to as well. Good luck on all your endeavors!

Liv and leaves eyes ,
Sorry you had such hard time with customs. It's BS. Hope the next time here in the states will be even better then before. I'm Glad to have seen you 2times now here in the USA. I plan on seeing you all with king diamond in april 08.
I will keep up to date on CD and DVD making. I'm sure it will be the best thus far.
Maybe next time you can sing "A vikings word"? I truely love that song. You didnt sing it in Detroit last time. But thank you for playing "For Amelie" I wife truely loves your voice in that song. She loves your voice period.
