Jack in TonopahJack and Elizabeth have been on the road for the past four days, stopping in 11 towns with their tour truck/sound stage. They've had a blast!
Here are a couple of tidbits that happened along the way (I'll add more as reports come in):
Tonopah: Samee, the tour truck, sprang a fuel leak, and threatened to end the tour on Sunday, but a couple of phone calls produced Mickey the mechanic who solved the prob.
Austin: A comment on the Carter Blog from "Jan:" "Jack, Elizabeth and supporters came through town today. You guys were great! As many Republicans as Democrats showed up and ALL appreciated your interest in our area."
Also in Austin, Jack and Elizabeth talked to a man over breakfast who asked Jack to tell him in five words what the difference was between him and John Ensign. Jack's response? "I'm here and he's not."
Eureka: Jack and Elizabeth visited the town a little bit by going up and down the main street. Jack played Sweet Home Alabama on the guitar. Dawn Gibbons, Repub candidate for Congress listened to the show.
Fernley: Blogger JWH was at the event, and wrote a great report (with more pictures!). Here's an excerpt: "I'll tell you what... Jack delivered a speech that should have John Ensign extremely worried. Jack Carter is clearly the candidate that will look out for folks like me and many other hard-working residents of Fernley."
Everywhere they've been, Democrats and Republicans alike have been voicing their frustration with the current administration and the direction that this country is headed. John Ensign, who votes with the Bush Administration 96f the time, is part of the problem. Jack Carter will be part of the solution.
If you attended any of the events, let us know how it went! I'll give more updates as more stories come in!
