I can't believe how much of what I just read is true for me. I had you sign my records once (here in Tucson at a bar named Plush). I had Caetano Veloso sign my a record and he was really confused that I'd sit through a concert with the bulk. I own the record player our intrepid reporter was writing about, and take it out at work all the time. Once you have listened to "Black Dog" at 45 speed you can not go back. I also own 2 Marantz Turn Tables that I treat like Picaso's. My High Art experience came when At a Salvation Army in Philly in 1996 I bought a first pressing of Jobim and Getz Classic on Verve. I was going to faint when I felt it in the piles. The $.50 piles. Can't stop, never stopped, won't stop ... but will someday die
