I started this after an old friend posted a bulletin and asked:
what is your definition of love?
My answer is not yet compete and needs o be edited a bit, check back in no later than a week for it to be revised and completed. Right now, its kinda me rambling.
Personally, I believe everyone has their own definition of love, and therefore what that person feels might be love to them but would not be considered love to another person, you know? It can get pretty complicated talking about this subject and really trying to define it because I would like to say that it is a feeling that comes from the heart, but what does that Really mean? It was brought to my attention that, literally, the heart does nothing but pump blood throughout our body.
So where exactly does that feeling of love come from? Is it the same feeling that people talk about when they have butterflies in their stomach? If so, then doesn't that mean that love comes from the stomach? And if that's the case, then the way to a mans heart really is through his stomach. But, then why would you want to get to his organ that just pumps blood? Maybe, it is because without our heart, we cant live. It keeps pumping to keep us alive. So, maybe when people say that love comes from the heart, they mean they get a feeling that is so overpowering, that they can feel it go throughout their whole body, just as our heart pumps blood throughout our body. I don't know, I'm just trying to make sense out of this.
Love- TRUE heartfelt love, is feeling like you need to be with the one you love to survive. Just like the saying goes "I can't live without him/her" Our heart is what keeps us alive. He/she is your life, your heart, your love.
