Ok nothing really deep this time, just wanted to share my experiences I have had with a program called OneNote.

I think this is the best program that microsoft has ever released. And its one that has changed my life for the better. I use to have atleast 15 different notebooks that I used for home, and for work. Now I use my OneNote and because of the sync power of this great program, I can keep my notes avialable to me , on my home PC, tablet Pc and my work computer. If you do have a tablet PC it really shines because you can hand write your notes and the program can even reconize my terrible hand writing. Also great for little drawing you might want to make for the room redesign or whatever else you might need to draw out. But Its still very usiful if you have just a desktop or laptop PC.

Some uses I have found for OneNote:

General Note taking

Recording thoughts about PDF books I am reading(OneNote allows you to imbed a file in the note actually and then you can write up thoughts about what you are reading)

Grocery lists

Project lists/Planning

Inventory

Anything you would use a file cabinet for.

Web research

Research on about anything

Making a Journal

There are many uses I havent mentioned for this program, but see for yourself.

Microsoft offers a 60 day trial of this program at:

But I warn you this program is 100 dollars by itself, or you can get the home/student addition of Microsoft Office for around 150 dollars. The Office addition is the best deal and you have 3 licenses of use. So you can install it on three computers you own and still be legal.

And one of the biggest plus for this program. Never again will you write something down and have to search through 20 different note books to find what you are looking for.. This program has a great search feature..

Give it a try, best program microsoft has ever written..

I didnt mention that you can work off shared drives. Me and my wife have a small network at home. We have one computer that acts as are home entertainment/file share. We have a onenote folder setup on there. This allows us to share information back and fourth. So as we run out of things at home she or I can enter them in a OneNote page.

When it comes time to make the list here is where OneNote is nice. Unlike word or other word processing programs I have used. OneNote actually allows you to drag things around on the page. So you make a quick running list. Then when it comes time to organize this list you just drag the sentence to place you want it on the page. Makes making grocery list alot easyier and fast.

Also you can insert pictures , files , video and such in your pages too. And you can search on them.

I know your a student sorcha this would be great for you to organize your notes and for writing the dread term papers. And for you Kim, it would be really helpiful for turning homes.
Start a notebook, go out take some pictures of the homes insert the picture in the page and write about what you think of the home. If you buy it then you can keep your log of what you did with the home. Then for future decisions you could reference onenote.

I even use this program at work with my boss. No longer do I get the what are you doing speech.. I just tell him get on your computer and all my projects are outlined. And its great for saving emails from outlook. I throw them in oneNote with the projects they are in relation to.

Ya I love this program can you tell?
