Monday, Monday, Monday
It has been a fairly busy day. The big, much- hyped(and heavily advertised on the blogs) Democratic Presidential Candidate Debate -CNN - You Tube asking the questions thingy, was on tonight. I caught some of it, and read some live blogging. Also read some post- debate impressions since all the political blogs are covering it. Daily Kos and Firedoglake had the best conversations.
I do think it was overall an improvement in the style of debating and information presentation. Less formality and more info. They had to think on their feet a bit, and not just give scripted soundbites. An excellent first effort melding technology with the idea that real people count. I give it a C+.
If your thing is a bit more on the trashy side, TMZ.com has a photo gallery of the "Celebrities" arriving for the Flavor Flav "celebrity" roast on Comedy Central. The clothes, the hair, OMG. It's happening.
I was going to rant on about England giving us Beckham and Posh to make our lives a living hell, but then I remembered. They have been putting up with Madonna. But was it really a fair trade?
The effing media has to be stopped. Do any of us really care about a washed up footie player and his starved scientology puppet??? Their PR people must be making a fortune. Please make it stop!!!
Anyhoo, getting back to giving England a break. I didn't realize just how severe the Flooding has been there, and how long it has been going on The pictures from the BBC and The Telegraph are heartbreaking. Floods just suck.
