Current mood:  strong
Hey there errrrrrrbody!

I'm officially in Honolulu... Its beautiful... (Well- what Ive seen so far!)
I got here kinda late yesterday... So- I just woke up and I'm about to go explore... I figured I walk down to the beach and walk forever...

From what Ive experienced, here in Waikiki, everyones soooo nice and helpful and smiley...

The guy who picked me up from the airport, told me all the best sushi and bbq spots... It is on!
Last night I went to Sansei for sushi... The chefs there were sooo cool! And can u believe they actually heard my songs.... I was like.... uhhhh.... Are you sure!? haha!

I got to try a new Hawaiian fish called Moi! It was the shizzle... I think I might go back there a few more times while Im here!)

Since being on the last Hotel Cafe Tour... I really gained a sense of freedom.. Even though i forced myself to go to dinner by myself and see new things, and even though it was hard at first... It eventually got easier... and now... Here I am in on an island by myself ... and Im not scared to leave my hotel room and experience things... 3 years ago- I probably wouldve stayed in...

Funny how people evolve.

So- today I will go have some more alone time!) and Ill do whatever the hell I want.

(Don't worry Dad- I will be careful and I wont talk to strangers.... too much!)

ok- off I go.

Remember while your there you have to try cold water surfing! It is completely life altering experience. My Aunt lives in Honolulu and the place truly is beautiful. Best of luck! Can't wait to see your show again when your in the Nashville area.

Enjoy Hawaii.. I hope you plan on writing an update to the song Hawaii.. since you have been there now. My brother lived there for 2 years. Go to the North Shore, but don't try to surf... its tough for beginners.. I am trying to get some people to come see you next week in Macon Bacon.. Oh yea.. my buddy met you at the Hummingbird a few weeks ago, and said you guys talked for a while!! He said you played a set or two

That's Great that you are enjoying it there. Some of the best Sushi I have ever had is there. If I remembered the name of the restaurant I would tell you. All I remember is that it is near the mall in Waikiki. I hate being alone for dinner sometimes too. That's why you will always just find me eating at the bar even if I am not drinking. Usually you find good company or at least find someone or something that you can have a story to retell about later. Take care girl...see you soon. Aloha!!!

HOOOO SHIT! I can't wait to fucking watch you tomorrow night at Pipeline. Seeing you and Joshua Radin will be the highlight of my year, fo sho. I'm hella glad that Hawaii is treating you well. It's been crazy here, flooding on the North Shore, flooding on the West side, so hopefully you can enjoy it as much as possible. Have an awesome show tomorrow night! (-:

Hawaii is awesome! I lived there in Waikiki for 6 month. Being able to walk to the beach from ones apartment is an amazing feeling! Make sure you go to Kilua (I think I spelt that wrong), it right over the Pali Highway. It has one of the best beaches on the island and all the people are really cool! I miss it very much! I found Hawaii very inspirational and wrote a lot of songs there! Have fun!

Being in Hawaii is awesome. It's even better when you're spending it with someone you can dig! Enjoy it and check out the North Shore. Remember,Hawaii is two things: Town&Country! And depending on where you're from, one is better than the other. One thing is for sure... the music is great no matter what, from IZ to Jack Johnson. Your music fits right in! Have a great time! ;)

That sounds great! I completely understand the need to evolve when it comes to independence...and dads who worry a lil too much. I am headin to Honollulu in a few days..actually it is just a 12 hour layover on the way to Sydney but I have never seen Hawaii so I am pretty excited about it. Good luck with your trip and I hope you find the confidence and independence your looking for. I will be looking for the same thing on my trip.

Hi Meiko.. Nice to hear you are having fun.. If you get the time you should try to get to Hanauma Bay for a swim. It is sooooo nice and protected by a reef so it is nice and calm. Lots of fishies to see. Hope to see you around here soon. L
