Current mood:  rejuvenated
I am in San Clemente today. We are working on our
live set mix at Sounden Studios. We are about to go
further and deeper. I have been greatly inspired in
assembling the Satellite Party's American Tour. As
is the case with all launched projectiles, parts
fall off the back as the rocket climbs toward
heaven. In stage 2 Nuno and Kevin have disengaged.
Our new members are Nick Perri, and Jordan Plosky.
Click on them below to see their Myspace sites.
Carl had told me about a young guitarist he jammed
with at the "Dimebag" Darrel Abbot Benefit. He was
an exceptional young player who was an amazing
performer. He came in for his audition, and plugged
strait in to the amp. The room was struck by a bolt
of lightning. He caused a frenzy. Jordan was on
drums. Carl on bass, Etty was singing. We held the
rehearsal at the Paul Green School of Rock in
Hollywood. Jordan is a great modern drummer. His
style is perfectly suited for what we are up to. I
went home that night and slept soundly. Also
joining us on tour is a great young producer Cole
Gion. He'll be playing synth and freaking out
programs. We are going deeper -into the back
catalogs. We are prepping for Satellite Party
numbers, as well as Jane's, Porno, and Song Yet To
Be Sung tracks. I feel energized by the prospect of
our live sets.

We all paddled out this morning and caught waves at
Sano' - Some of us were catching waves for the first
time in our lives. It's almost as much fun to teach
people as it is to do it yourself. I remember the
first time somebody taught me, and the thrill of my
first catch. Today we are all full of sun, waves,
and music. Tomorrow we head back home for big room
rehearsals. USA-
We're coming- from far and wide; singing a song to
you,
Better be ready- Perry

Shame Nuno and Kevin left - the gig in Birmingham Englnad was brilliant.
Nevermind - I'm sure you'll keep goin from strength to strength - wish I was in the states.
Take care

It was a weird match anyway... I always thought... seeing the Extreme dude playing Jane's Addiction...
Anyway, you're like the sun, Perry - the vital energy. You move worlds. People come to see you. Good luck! :)

We can't wait to see what dimension Nick Perri adds to Satellite Party. We've seen him open for Motley Crue and Van Halen, and we've been hooked ever since. Bring it on! We can't wait for you to come to Philly!

Happy to hear that things worked out! Most things in life usually do. Also, I'm excited to hear some songs off Songs Yet To Be Sung live. It's one of my favorite albums of all time!

Glad to hear nuno is gone. he was nothing but a relic of bad hair metal. Not sure about these new players though, they look like goofs from the Backstreet Boys or N-sync. Good to hear you're planning on ressurecting songs for SYTBS and P4P! Would love to hear "Satellite of Love" too, as it would fit in with the Satellite Party theme you've got going.

Perry - Met you at K. Slater's birthday and talked to you about my love for "To Match The Sun" and my acoustic guitar company before you jammed with G. Love.

Absolutely THRILLED you stumbled across Nick Perri. The kid can play. Saw him with Silvertide a few times and he's an absolute new school, old school ball of energy and passion. Closest thing I've seen to a Joe Perry/Jimmy Page-type whose presence is felt on stage with the frontman. He and Walt Lafty have great chemistry. Can't wait to see him up there tomorrow at the Del Mar show. Much love for Nuno, but I prefer to look foward not back.

It's time for Stage 2. Show us what it's all about. - CB

HI Perry and Etty, What a thrill to see and hear the new iteration of Satellite Party at Lolla. You ROCKED. Jordan did a fine job and Nick is an incredible addition. He can really play, move and groove. The band sounded great and better than ever. It must be satifying to know that your music not only has a past and a present but a FUTURE as well. Your hospitality at Lollapalooza will stay with Lana and I forever. We will see you again at Irving Plaza. Carl and Lana
