Now the album is done and we're back playing shows we're going to try and start posting blogs a bit more often. i'll try and include some video footage of whatever we've been up to whenever i can, but it's just going to be random bits and pieces of varying quality so don't expect the last waltz. here's the first blog and video:
Rehearsals
Last week we did the first set of rehearsals for the festival shows we’ve got this summer. It was the first time we’ve all played together since the Japan tour last September, so about 9 months, which was a strange feeling, bit like the first day back at school after summer holidays. To be honest I think we were all a bit worried we would be fucking rusty after so long, but having some time off meant that everyone was coming back to the old tunes with fresh ears and we managed to make a few tweaks and changes and the set is now sounds bigger and better than ever before.
We also added the first of the new songs into the set and a new cover. (as fun as it was playing Breathe last year, we think it’s time for a change, and we’ve found pretty much the perfect festival anthem to replace it with).
Exeter
The first show of the year was a little warm up show in Exeter at the Cavern. it was the perfect return for us very sweaty and rowdy, generally when people look like this after the show, i feel like it's been a success.
also, nick seemed to enjoy himself
the rhythm division:
We’ve got another warm up show the day before the Underage festival. We’re playing at Brighton Concorde 2, which is one of our favorite UK venues so this should be a lot of fun. We also just confirmed that This City will be supporting, we’re super excited about this, we've been to see these guys play loads of times and they’re awesome. They just finished recording their debut album for the legendary Epitaph records, check them out at:

Beach Break
backstage at beach break with our lifecoach Andy
We weren't really sure what to expect from this, a student-only festival but it was a lot of fun, crowd were awesome after a bit of encouragement from J and the beachbreak staff kept us well stocked with boozeahol to get our livers used to being back on the road.
festival season is hard work
nick does some last minute practice
...while J does some interviews on a bus.
lots of students
Soundcloud
Over the last couple of years we’ve had loads of messages from people saying they want to remix us or support us on tour and getting back to each of them is pretty difficult when we’re busy in studio or on tour. However, we now have a solution – we opened a soundcloud account, so if you want to remix one of our tracks, to support us on tour or just want us to be playing your tunes when we DJ, send us a track here:
