Sadly, a local private school in Olive Hill, Kentucky has recently come under attack from the local city council yet again. Melissa Rose has created a school for kids from ’Alternative Religious Belief’ families. She did this by purchasing an older school building that was up for sale. From day one, it seems that some of the good ’decent’ citizens of Olive Hill who’re on the city’s council has done their best to harass Miss Rose and shut her down.

If that doesn’t frost your grommets, then knowing that Miss Rose has students who’re from poor families that are unable to pay tuition and now the wonderful city council is punishing Miss Rose by trying to force her to comply with every zoning ordinance they can. Currently, Miss Rose is raising funds to pay for a new roof.

One would think that here in America, the honest & forthright Republicans who boldly tout ’religious freedom’ and ’individual rights’ would stand up for the Wiccan school. But thus far, that has not happened!

I for one do not understand the reluctance of the local Republican party to sit by and watch this happen. I know Jesus would not allow this to happen. And yet the local pastors and those who thank God for the right to worship freely in this country thumb their collective nose at at the Wiccan school. This is insane.

They are seeking donations to help pay for a new roof. I’m not sure how much that will cost them but here’s the link for the school:

and if you can, donate $10, 25, 50 or 100 to help them out. Yeah I kow I’m a hardass when it comes to Wiccans however I’m all for individual rights and frankly the Wiccan school needs to find a way to support itself.

I’ll make you a deal: Buy both the Oya Doll and Oya Altar/Shrine on my site together, as a package deal, and I will donate every cent of that money to the school for their roof! If you are interested, I’ll give a special price of $1,100.00 for both the Oya Altar/Shrine & Power Doll! That’s a savings of $150.00 and I’ll pay the postage!

Think about it! You’ll be getting a powerful altar/shrine AND power doll with the knowledge that your payment is going to be donated to help a private, alternative religion school get their roof repaired AND knowing that you’re thumbing your nose at the fundie bastards who’re trying to make the school disappear! That in itself ought to make you feel good!

So come on folks! Get this awesome package and I’ll throw in a FREE autographed copy of my Voodoo Magic course and a couple of other surprises for you!

CorDIAlly Yours,
MOloch

I can only wish I had something to offer right now... perhaps in a few months? Your package deal is a wonderful idea and excellent donation gift, Moloch. I wish there were more schools like Ms Rose's. Gods know there's plenty of xian schools that nobody barks about.

Even Xian schools deserve to exist. I firmly believe that the parents and private schools mean well. Many are there because of the lack of fundamentals kids receive in public schools. Plus the standards are higher in private schools than they are in public schools. For instance, here in Ohio, if you receive a 59 or below score on a test or quiz, you've failed, right? But in some private schools, if you receive a 69 or under you've failed. Trying to get the kids to learn 70% of the material as a 'minimum' is their goal. I applaud that regardless of the school'sreligiious philosophy.

Jesus himself would not prosecute such a thing. During his day, there were plenty of pagan learning institutions - remember the Romans were in power and theirs was a Pagan based religiion. Theer's no account of him speaking out against pagan learning centers. I'd say it's a safe bet he was okay with it. But today, some ill tempered fundie Xians take it pon themselves to cause the school hassles. Such a great personal testimony they present eh? Makes you glad you're not a member of their church let alone a Christian like them!

It is funny how so many people use "religious freedom" as a buzz phrase when it is supporting their religion, but when it comes to standing by all the implications of the ideology of religious freedom, they always rear their shallow, elitist, hateful, mind-numbingly tortured brains!

Even more, paganism is the ROOT of Christianity! Judaism is largely based on Ancient Egyptian motifs! The story of Jesus is clearly derived from that of Horus, from 3000 BC! These people don't even know the history of their own religion!

If they knew how ignorant they are, maybe they'd stop touting their guesses, beliefs, and opinions with such harmful glee! God damn them all....
