ABOUT THE PROJECT

First They Came For is inspired by the poem by Reverend Martin Niemoller. The short film will be set in a not so distant future where a nondescript regime takes away various discriminated groups out of everyday situations where they are creating no crime all the while our Narrator watches this injustice happen and struggles between standing up and saving himself.

This project is not-for-profit, no/low budget, there is no pay involved. What we do offer is experience on a professional film set, on set meals, copy of the finished film and exposure.

This film is being made for Pangea Day: www.pangeaday.org

Pangea Day taps the power of film to strengthen tolerance and compassion while uniting millions of people to build a better future. On May 10, 2008 – Pangea Day – sites in Cairo, Dharamsala, Jerusalem, Kigali, London, New York City, Ramallah, and Rio De Janerio will be videoconferenced live to produce a 4-hour program of powerful films, visionary speakers and uplifting music.
