Hey gang! This is a very cool, very historic first for MySpace Comic Books, and a great way to celebrate the new year!

In partnership with our excellent friends at BOOM! Studios, we are releasing a comic book series online at the same time as it is released in comic book stores. You read that right: you can download the complete issues of NORTH WIND for FREE on the same day they hit the stands!

Today, we are proud to release NORTH WIND 01. You can read the pages online below, or download the complete issue to your hard drive to read at your leisure with your favorite comic book reader. The choice is yours!

In the coming weeks we will be releasing subsequent issues as they arrive at your local store. If you like what you read, be sure to support NORTH WIND by picking it up at your local comic book store! Call 1-888-COMIC BOOK to find the shop nearest you!

A huge thank you goes out to BOOM! Studios for taking the leap into the wild world of digital distribution with us. Enjoy NORTH WIND 01 and come back next month for issue 02!

Download NORTH WIND 01 now!

Quite impressive. The writing and dialogue is excellent. Very nice lighting and textures, subtle attention to detail. Very unique, stylistic inking. The faces in the early pages seemed awkward, but it seems that problem was worked out quickly. I'd like to work with you one day. :)

Really liked this and the art is top notch. I love how the skinrunner is riding a buffalo. How badass is that?

Liked it alot.

Thought the art was fantastic and the story solid.

My only complaint, and this is going to sound kinda stupid, was that I didn't get the impression that the cold was really affecting these people. I think that if you writing a story with the setting being in a frozen world, you should at least get the impression of being cold.

Maybe it was just me.

Anyway will diffently pick up issue 2, just to see where the story is going.

J.

I dug this and loved the read. Am glad to see Boom studios taking some risks and putting this out there. Really thats how you get readers, and this is why: I jsut bought the first 2 issues. Thank you for making me a reader.

oh BTW, my one bone to pick: why is it when humanity falls into a post apocalyptic future, they either get all mad max with thongs and Mohawk, or, like the Hunter guy, start speaking in some sort of weird Shakespearian speech?

And what happened to the Mexicans?
