JOKER

Written by Brian Azzarello
Art by Lee Bermejo and Mick Gray
Cover by Lee Bermejo

In the all-new, hardcover original graphic novel JOKER, writer Brian Azzarello (100 BULLETS) and artist Lee Bermejo (HELLBLAZER covers) – the creative team behind the acclaimed miniseries LEX LUTHOR: MAN OF STEEL – show an even darker and more disturbing side to the most dangerous man in Gotham: The Joker.

After yet another stint in Arkham Asylum, The Joker finds "his city" divided among mobsters and costumed villains. Not content to settle for a piece of the pie, The Joker vows to take back the whole damn enchilada by any means necessary. Look for appearances by a slew of Gotham's most wanted, including gritty takes on Two-Face, Riddler, Killer Croc, Penguin, Harley Quinn and even Batman!

Not since THE KILLING JOKE have you seen such a powerful tale of The Joker – you won't want to miss this one!

You think the original was the Joker (Heath Ledger) from the Dark Knight don't you?

hahaha

The story of the Joker has been told and re-told so many times.

By original I assume you mean the joker from the cartoons as that is what most people only know. If so..I shed a tear for you.

What do you mean the orginal? Do you mean the first villian book Azzarello wrote or what? Could you please clarify for me, because your comment raddles my brain as to why you would make this statement.

Have you read it yet? How is this a Joke? When The Killing Joke came out in 1988, it was yet ANOTHER retelling of the origin of the Joker. It is now critically acclaimed and considered one of the best comics of the last century. Pray tell. When you say, "never compare to the original", what exactly is the original to you? This is another Joker story, you know, like in comics, new stories keep developing. It doesn't seem to be comparing to anything, just adding to the legacy of the Joker.

Are you kidding me? This is going to be AMAZING!!! Lee Bermejo on anything would be great, but a Joker story ought to be stellar. Just look at those teeth on the cover! Hell yes. That having been said, some of the coloring looks a little too slick, but whatever...
