Great news for me and anyone who cares - the film I co-wrote, co-produced and co-star in called COOK-OFF! (there's a tiny clip of it on my page) has gotten into the HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen! This is really good news for me, because this film has taught me so much about how NOT to do things and who NOT to do them with, but it's been a great learning experience and there's lots of funny people in it! So I'm feeling really proud.

For you Lovespring International fans, our show was NOT renewed by Lifetime (no big surprise there) but continues to sell world-wide. It's also available on I-tunes. However,  our producsers have come up with another great show idea for us, so don't be surprised if we all find our way into your homes next year as different characters!

For you RENO 911! fans, the Reno 911: Miami movie comes out on February 23, and the rest of season 4 should start airing around that time as well. We start filming season 5 in March, so that should start airing sometime during the summer.

But enough about me, let's talk about you....drop me a line, why dontcha!

Well, this was certainly a good news/bad news blog for me.

Good news: I am SO looking forward to Reno 911 Miami and Cook-Off!

Bad news: Lovespring was my absolute favorite new show this summer and I am devastated that it's not coming back

*SIGH*  But I'll watch anything you're in, so keep it coming!

For the bittersweet: So Lovespring International is not being renewed and I just found out now... I am not a good fan am I?  Sorry, but it was good while it lasted and would be great if the producers pitched a great idea for the cast. Good luck.

For the sweet: Congrats on the Cook-Off.  Sounds like you put your heart into the project and most of all had learned and had fun with it.  Will it be availible for us to see?

For the sweetest thing:  Can't wait for the movie!

Keep rockin on,

Angela

you know, it's weird.  my wife calls me aja.  long story, nothing to do with steely dan, and pronounced ahzha, but still a strange parallel.  glad your project was valuable for you.  it's great that you're doing stuff, and you're plenty funny for any comedy.  cheers.

Congrats and big hugs to you for your effort with "COOK OFF".
It tells me the folks in Aspen have some sort of taste. I hope this project goes to fruition. Really.

Aja. You were just a kid when that album came out. Me, I was in the army in training in Fort Knox, Kentucky. I had the cassette shortly after it came out. I tell you what, "Deacon Blues" got me through some hard times and personal shit...

I'll learn to work the saxophone
I'll play just what I feel
Drink Scotch whisky all night long
And die behind the wheel
They got a name for the winners in the world
I want a name when I lose
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide
Call me Deacon Blues

All the best to you, Wendi.
Kudos and kudos!

Hey Wendi, good luck with Cook-Off. I hope it wasn't too horrible of an ordeal. Use the Alan Smithee option if need be. I can't wait for Miami to open. I hope your hair was nice and big for it.

HAHAHA!!!  I was totally giggling and relating to the Cook-Off clip.  Especially being a "newbie" cook and having to chop, cut and turn on the stove now! ;)  I will definitely be catching that flick... especially because you co-wrote it?!  I'm totally curious to see what's in that creative brain of yours.

As for LoveSpring, I would say that it's Lifetime's loss, but it's really ours! :(  That is a very sad disappointment.  Again, I was relating to the characters on that show!

And last. but NEVER least, I can barely wait for the release of Reno 911: Miami!  You have an AWESOME cast on that show... main characters and otherwise.  I have NO doubt that I will be BUSTING UP laughing the entire way through... can't wait, I tell you!

As for me... say ol', same ol'!  HAHAHA!!! ;)

I can't wait to see Reno 911! Miami, and it feels like it's been forever since I've seen a new episode of Reno 911!.  :D  How awesome is this news?  Pretty boss if you ask me.  Which you didn't. ;)

Lifetime meh, who needs 'em!

Reno 911: Miami was wonderful!  There is one particular scene near the beginning at a hotel that can only be watched on a large movie screen to get the full effect. :)  lol.  The film was very well done!  I got to see this in an early screen and there were long long lines + people who stood in another line because the theatre was full.  People in Boston really loved it!

Looking forward to see what the producers do with the Lovespring characters & checking out Cook-Off!  How long did it take you to write Cook-Off?

I care! You should come see me while you're in Aspen.
If it's in Aspen, Colorado.
I live in Grand Junction, it's not too far away from Aspen.
Hit me up.
I've got to kick it with you.
You're doing season 4? FUCK yes. AND Season 5? That's worthy of me going and touching myself somewhere. ;)
I'd drop a line but I can't for obvious reasons :(
