Perhaps a few more creative minds in Washington and a few managers who can manage would serve the American people from getting into such dire
Positions. Make your vote count in placing some new blood in Congress.
Time to turn over the controlling party politicians and elect those that
Can act in the interest of all Americans. Thought this is a creative
Idea to help Americans.

Unfortunately, The Sad Truth Is, most of our elected politicians, owe
their allegiance, not to the people they are supposed to represent,
but their allegiance leans towards those who have buttered their
bread, so to speak. This being the big-money lobbyists, who represent
major corporations, and in some cases foreign governments. In my
opinion, the time is long gone when we can blindly follow the
political path of any one party. Treasonable acts used to be punishable by public hanging, or firing squads.(((Sounds to me, like a good way to make a point.))) The State of the World is not going to change for the better
overnight, regardless of who our new president is. This country is
definitely going to need a leader who is familiar, in at least some
degree, with military strategies, and smart enough to surround
him/her self with world savvy advisors. Some of the deals are politicians on both sides of the fence have cut with the major corporations, are borderline Treasonable, independent investigations should be started and charges brought against these politicians and corporations.

They have endangered the welfare and security of this nation .
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax co de, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one presi dent, and nine Supreme Court justices – 545 human beings out of the 300 million – are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyis t s for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to acc e pt it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't t hink of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ .

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an o ath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses –
provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess.

The definition of pork is a dagger in the back with "Lipstick" on it for us taxpayers.

DAVID KNOWLES . . JUST ANOTHER HACK JOURNALIST ENTRUSTED WITH SCARING THE SHEEPLE, AND REMINDING US ALL OF OUR SPECIAL DUTY TO THROW OUR WALLETS INTO THE LAPS OF WALL ST! WE NEED TO ALLOW GOLDMAN SACHS TO BUY UP ALL THE SMALLER BANKS, AND FURTHER CENTRALIZE WEALTH . .THIS SO CALLED "BAILOUT" SHOULD BE CALLED "THE DC HIEST" . . SHAME ON ALL SENATORS WHO VOTED TO FLEECE THE TAXPAYERS ! LET THE PLAYING FIELD BE LEVELED, AND LET WALL ST BLEED . .NO TO THE DC HIEST ! NO TO ANY BAILOUT !

I think the whole bunch in Washington should be voted out of office, investigated, impeached, etc. Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty.
I find it amazing that there is not one that might even hint that they could have a slight amount of guilt in this. They're all a bunch of greedy ones that only think of "ME". During the last couple of months I have lost all confidence in our government and that is not good.

Wooden arrows, provided by wooden heads---makes sense to me. The real shame is that we, the people, or have we forgotten that, allow these worthless, on the take politicians to continue with this crap. Maybe we should take a lesson from the French, I am tired of having these thieves tell me to just eat cake. There isn't a neck in Congress woth saving.

Broken Arrow should be the name of this bill. It shows the contempt our "elected" leaders, lobbyists and financiers have for us, the people without whose money they would not exist. Such an emergency that we have to add all kinds of "bribes", and they are bribes make no mistake about it, to get peope to vote for it? Exxon-Valdez, hell that was 20 years ago! I wonder what "unfunded mandates" are out there on this? My guess is enough to take any dollars left over, pitiful!

ISN'T IT MOST INSTRUCTIVE . . THE VAST MAJORITY OF TAXPAYERS SAY "NO!" TO THE BAILOUT , YET OUR REPRESENTATIVES DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, AND BOTH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES SUPPORT RIPPING US OFF. THE MESSAGE FROM US SHOULD BE A THIRD PARTY VOTE ! ! THE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS- A "SHANKER" ON BOTH HOUSES.

Once upon a time I would have said that these bottom feeders should be punished. Now I say, "HANG THEM BASTARDS". They are unworthy. They are the problem.

Well, now we have three lame ducks, Bush, McCain and Obama. America needs us, time to saddle up.

The Taxpayer is going to have to pay for Washingtons' greed. All should kicked out in the street because none of them even the two running for President know witch end is up.

People talk about 'It's time we take back America'. All I have read so far is the continuing crying of the people who have caused the problems. Yes Mr. and Mrs. American, it is you who have the control but have given it up due to your stupidity. How did you vote in the last election. Down the line for 'all' Repubicans on the ballot? How about for all the Democrats down the line on the ballot? Did Joe 'the good old boy from your home state make it to the senate to represent you. Yes that good old boy who ran the candy store who now wants a pension from the government after he votes for the interest groups and not for you. After all you did vote for him but now he is out for himself and the interest groups. He or she wants to be popular so he goes along with the other idiots that have been placed in congress the same way. Do any American voters ever read up on the candidates that are running for office? The answer is NO. Do voters ever check on the voting record of politcians? The answer is NO. Most voters vote for the Democrats or the Repulicans because that is how they registered and that is how their parents registered and on and on and on. Wake up Americans. We can take back America by carrying torches and ropes and marching to the White House and string up everyone there. It's time to get smart and see who are the people really reprenting us in Congress. Your vote for the real candidates with intelligence is the starting point. Whether you are Repulican, Democrat, Liberal or nothing, learn about the candidates and their records and make the right vote. At this juncture Race, Color, Religion, Gender are not even a part of the equation. Picking the right candidate is. And to all the people who find it necessary to only complain about the economy, gas prices and whatever, pull you head out from where the sun doesn't shine and start to think of how the proplems can be fixed. After all the people in congress are nothing more then 'common people' from every walk of life. If you are saying that they have the ability to solve your proplems and you can't, then continue on the line for the lambs being lead to the slaughter. Obviously you can only be a follower and a complainer and not a contributor or problem solver. Americans have a lt to think about before the November election. Start doing your homework America.

I am so sick of this left wing right wing bull. I'll tell you who's going to taste the bitter of this little "tax-break" the common working class, or basically, the impoverish. What on earth is middle class anyway it's slowly disappearing with all these tax breaks for the rich leaving the starving to foot the bill. Hears an idea, why don't you cut out taxes for the poor and give a few tax breaks to the middle class to, I don't know, even the playing field a bit, but no that would make too much sense let the government take a big bite out of the ass of the rich for once, they have pretty big ones so they won't notice if we trim the fat a little. Further-more this election has nothing to do with McCain; he's one heart attack away from Palin being the next president. so ask yourself do you want a Neo-Nazi terrorist (Palin) to be the face of our country, or a rich advocate for the fortunate who says he wants to help the middle-class, then votes for a bill that helps the wealthy get more bacon fat in their enormous diet, instead of helping the people who really need it like, I don't know, the poor!(Obama) I pick the lesser of two evils and say to Obama please advocate for those who truly need it, And quite being a fucking hypocrite. Honestly anyone to tack on tax cuts for the rich to this bill should be brought up on war-crime charges, because they are take the food and medicine from the starving and the dying and putting it into their own over-size bellies, and that, my fellow Americans, is criminal. And you know what else gets me everyone is all about who's going to be the next president when the president only has an elusion of power, basically they are the face for the average ill-informed or poorly (publicly) educated to point the finger at. If you want to impeach someone, impeach the people responsible for doing this again and again, congress, senate, legislature, or even state branches, I think it is time for a complete overhaul of the so called "House of Representatives."  They haven't been representing the average American for quite some time now, they serve there own selfish private agenda and have been for a long, long time. I mean Americans must be blind, first Kennedy, then the "Representatives" elected a man G.W. Bush while the public voted otherwise, not to mention the controversy of the search for weapons of mass destruction that proved to be just another hidden agenda. And those are just the most obvious. I can't dare show my face in another country because I am living in a time where I am ashamed to be an American. Vote on Saturday because the real power lies in less publicized elections, not the presidential.
