Francesca brings us another installment of Modo Fusion Lounge to celebrate the release of her debut CD Modo Fusion.

Conceived by Harper and written with Pulitzer-Prize winning author Margo Jefferson, Modo Fusion Lounge explores Harper's experiences as a dancer, a singer and an African-American woman through an accessible, hybrid stage work. In this multimedia cabaret, Francesca will be performing her rich mix of soul-inspired R&B and rhythmic electronica grooves, accompanied by the Modo Fusion Lounge Band featuring Damon Banks (bass), Bruce Cox (drums), Onaje Allan Gumbs (keyboard) and Victor Y. See Yuen (percussion).

Modo Fusion Lounge is an ever-evolving show that welcomes special guest collaborators including Maia Wilson (Music Director), Kemba Shannon, Krisha Marcano, and Jamal Story of The Color Purple and vocalists Jackie Arnold, Saycon Sengbloh, and Maria Newport. Francesca will also screen her experimental short film Swan Lake…Another Point of View, the 2004 winner of Best film/video in the Fine Arts Discipline at Black International Cinema Berlin Film Awards.

Francesca leads two workshops this fall at the The Ailey School. Each workshop is designed to be a laboratory for artists to learn a song and create their own piece incorporating dance and singing using improvisation techniques.
