Today I'll talk about my friend's Kiyoko's husband Mr. Soda. His latest film won The Best Documentary Award in Pusan International Film Festival and has been invited other movie festivals including Berlin. His last movie "Election" was shown on PBS and has just won Peabody Award. I saw "Mental" in March at Moma and thought it was well done. It shows real patients at Mental clinic in Okayama, where Kiyoko's parents involve with activities of the clinic. Mr. Soda's attempt to go inside of the patient's mental with his camera is outstanding. You can check out this movie. it is highly recommended.

今日は。今日は、私のお友達きよ子さんの夫であられる想田さんの事に付いてお話しします。きよ子さんとは長い付き合いでございましてここでの説明は省きますが、ダンサーであります。想田さんは、東大出の秀才でありまして、映画監督であります。彼の映画「選挙」は、日本でも公開されて、マスコミにも取り上げられたので、ご存知の方もいると思いますが、つい最近アメリカのテレビの最高峰と言われるピーバディー賞を受賞しました。彼の最新作「精神」は、三月にニューヨークのモーマで上映があって私も見て来ましたが、とても良い出来で御座いました。この映画、東京で今週からか先週、封切られましたので、この夏休みのおすすめ映画です。
