Who Gives Kudos:

[16 Nov 2007 | Friday]
The Beginning:
Melodisaster start their first step in late 2003 when Dill met Ijam at Yamaha Music Showcase in Kuala Lumpur. Before that, Dill had been with band called 'Nonsense', then Ijam started joined 'Nonsense' when they nearly brokeup. After 'Nonsense' split and left Ijam and Dill, they jamm with various sessionist drummers. That time they were influenced by Nirvana totally. After one year past, they started to composed their own songs. The real beginning of Melodisaster started when they choosed to form a brand new band. The name Melodisaster was inspired by Dill.

Hahaha... If I tried to remember the time when Dill and me hang out together, is like a gay couple. We were very close, and where ever Dill was I'm with him.The photo above was taken on the day I met him back in 2003. Honestly, Melodisaster won't exist If we're not met. Actually, I was his friend in form 1 until form 3, but I moved to technic school and not seen him until 2003, it's about 2 years.

The Idea:
After one year together jamming the same old song, I thought about had a new band with our own songs and demo. Then we talk (me and Aidil) about commitment. We had the passion, we felt like want to entertained peoples, the the name of Melodisaster came out in out night. It was suggested by Aidil and I agreed with the name that have the special meaning behind it.

So, we brought up the same concept that we always like until now, grunge with a twist of our own style. I think, you'll better judge it by yourself. Feel our songs and you'll know that's us. It's not like the propaganda that told you, we're 100% copycat of Nirvana. Of course they're one of our influences, but we try so hard to not to be perfectly like them, we have our own identity.

Our first demo titled, "First (demo)" was recorded in March 2005. Epul was the drummer for Melodisaster that time and left the band after the demo was completed. By the way, that's our first demo and it might not satisfied us. The same year, in May, we recorded our first EP under our very first indie label "Vicerock Access" and titled "Nobody Knows We're New Wave". The title of the EP was inspired by me and it is our slogan until now. We just want to tell the world that this is Melodisaster and the EP sounded more raw than the first demo. With the song "Kurt Cocaine", we had done pretty well to attract listeners. Forgot to to said that, Ronan from the band Damaged-B was our drummer for the EP.

New Melodisaster:
In late 2006, Christopher "Crisco" Daniel officially joint this band. His previous band "Leaderneck" doesn't give him the passion of playing drum.  2.0 is his first recording with melodisaster. Until now, the line-up of melodisaster still the same.
Rock oN dude!
