This video was filmed by a special person who accompanied me on my journey to America in 2004 when I went to meet my father for the first time in my life. Some people have asked me about it over the past 18 months 'what was it like meeting your father?' and to be honest I still cant explain it as well as I'd like to.


This video has made it a little easier for me to understand so hopefully it will do the same for anyone else who is interested. The song that accompanies the video is 'What Do You Mean To Me?' and I wrote it a year before I found my father. It's odd listening to it at the same time as watching the video because in the song, I was asking if my father was dead or alive. I am a firm believer that everything happens in this world for reasons that remain mysteries until we are ready for them to become revelations. I do not pretend to know why I did not know my father for the first 29 years of my life but I guess it will all become clear one day. I should add that I had never thought to find him until 2003, it was just surprising how easy it was to find him.

Anyway, it moves me to watch it but I could not say what feeling is the feeling that is moving me. It was a beautiful experience and I'm lucky to have found such lovely people. I hope it is of interest to you and anyone else who has experienced something similar.
