Hello music fans!  Rob here with a very overdue and very much awaited new Romeo Champagne blog!!  That's right, you wanted it!  Well, maybe the thought crossed your mind while glancing at the page or deciding what to make for dinner that night........but here it is!!!!!
For starters, let's get all you fine folks updated on what's been happening with the music, management, promotions, photography, and everything Romeo in general.  By the way, totally lying about the bears.  I only added that in for shock value.  If none of you were shocked......well then I'll just have to try harder next time.
Ok, we have officially dropped the "Howling Coyotes" from our name.  We've decided "Romeo Champagne" sounds just as catchy and saves us in printing costs and all that jazz.  Now, onto other things.
-Music:  We've been rehearsing a lot of new tunes, originals and covers.  Some of the new originals to be on the lookout for are: "Conversations with myself" and "Live for what you know".  Some of the covers are: "I am the slime"-Frank Zappa and "Pack it up"-Freddie King.  We're having a lot of fun with these tunes and we've been getting good reactions to them, so make sure you keep your ears open!  We will also be putting some new tunes up on the page very soon.  We have some good live recordings we'd love for you all to hear.  We have also begun talks of what to do for our debut album.......we'll keep you posted.
-Promotions:  Our management at Alchemy House which is Tom Blessing and James Goodman have been working on a promo pack for us including our demo, pics, bios and all that good stuff.  Once this bad boy is sent out you can expect to see us spanning the globe........of course starting with Ohio.  We were also mentioned in the Active Dayton paper as a band not to be missed, so we'd like to thank them for that.  Tom and James are also in the process of revamping our website and myspace page.  We recently viewed the layouts and things will be looking very nice indeed.
-Photography:  Very recently we had our new friend, Tim Mckenzie, come and do a photo shoot for us.  Ok, here's how this went down.  Danny had the idea to have the shoot at this old abandoned farmhouse behind Josh's house in Miamisburg.  So imagine the band, Tim, and Josh's family (in sandals mind you) making this arduous journey through not one, but two soy bean fields (oh, and three counting the one on the return trip).  The trip also included overgrown shrubbery, thorns, a crap-ton of poisen ivy and general woodland flora.  At the end of the trek appeared an old house that was something straight out of a scary ass movie, including two rotted out barns, a creepy looking shed, and lots of broken glass.  All that aside, Danny's wisdom prevailed and thanks to Tim's skills and our incredible good looks we now have some really good pics.  We've added a few of them as an album, so check them out!  Oh, and if any of the guys say that I was being a wuss and don't like scary old houses and didn't want to go inside and wanted to go home.........it's all lies!!!  Theories and conjecture!!!  Anyway, I'll rap this up.  We just wanted to inform everyone of all the cool stuff going down.  We'll see you all soon!!

Peace and much love,
Romeo Champagne
