beware, lovers of great indie-music out there - saïko records is still a long way from being done.
goethe once said 'gut ding will weile haben', and that's pretty much why we've seemed absent lately - while you all were enjoying the aftermath of the summer and getting accustomed to polar-like temperatures (well, close!), we were committing high treason and conspiracy, building castles out of thougths and smashing them down the second after… or, put in simpler words: sketching out the future. that's why since tasteless' new release 'empty buildings standing still' this may, and a bunch of updates every now and then, we went pretty much low-profile.
while by now a couple of news have leaked to the web (announcing tasteless' new clip, the new high fidelity-concept, etc), there's still some more work to be discussed and prepared, but rest assured - we're not that easily put on hold. in fact, here are a couple of things you can already look foward to:
- the aforementioned clip for
tasteless' song '
silent' will soon be finished and ready to be released - in the meantime, there are
pictures from the shooting all over the place… i'd definitely check them out!
- speaking of videos, anyone remembering the '
saïko vs. charts II'-event from last may? well, we were wise enough to record the show with a cam, a bunch of clips (toboggan vs. white stripes, tasteless vs. lady gaga / one republic, feat. jim vs. lilly allen, etc) are now up on
youtube - more to follow!
- while i'm already at it: the next high fidelity-dates are the 4th of november (w/ bloomingdale from geneva), and the 13th of january (w/ fredy rotten from basel), y'all better jot these dates down your agendas!
- for each and everyone of you going 'what the f*ck?' whenever you're trying to understand the basics of the music-biz, or try to push your own project:
action swiss music and TrocK will be hosting an event regarding these matters at the nouveau monde in fribourg on the 28th of october, with a couple of persons whom you could adress your questions to - among such people as sylvain maradan (le nouveau monde), alexandra egli (action swiss music), and eric mermod (suisa), we've got our very own guillaume lined up there as well. plus the event is free, so there's really no reason not to get your voice to be heard.
aside from all these wonderful little and big news, let us reassure you once more: we will be jumping out of the bushes sooner than you expect, and as usual we'll definitly be facing you with lots of new quality music - you don't want to miss this, don't you? then keep track of us!
