Unsere dynamique drummer has taken a fall and broken some complicated shit in his wrist.

Out of the 208 bones in our body, 54 are in our hands, of which 16 are in the wrists.

Of those 16 our drummer has broken one.

The wrist is required in articulation of full movement of the hand, protection of tendons and the like, it's damage is significant in that it impairs much in the way of (handy) human movement and physical function. Prevents playing snare definitely.

If this were the pleistocene, natural selection probably would have weeded out our drummer, as he wouldnt have been able to wield tools effectively or furnish wears for the winter, foriage effectively, attract mates etc...

As it is, natural Selection wont play a significant role due to the advancement of the species. We have simply have to deal with a cast on for 6-8 weeks and the cancellation of all live shows.

It is unfortunate. But at least it's not the pleistocene.

C'est la vie.
