Awesome vid guys...it's inspiring. Did you guys go to school at all to learn how to produce and mix tracks or is just a lot of practice?

Thanks for the reply, I only ask cause Ive been a musician for over ten years now, I have my own recording studio at home with Pro Tool 003 but I suck at mixing and usually have to pay to get that done. Im planning on going to the Recording Connection in Chicago this year and I'm not sure if thats the best choice. They say they will get my foot in the door but I'm just not sure if there is better opportunities out there. I know your real busy but I would humbly appreciate any advice you could give about recording education opportunities and your experience with your education....Thanks :)........-Matt

I enjoy thoroughly every tubeedeedo that you guys do! The way you act reminds me of my cousin and I goofin around. But on the real you two have inspired me to go in a whole other avenue which I never even imagined which is music. Taking my First Music Theory class. I just want to understand the concepts. Thanks So Much. And Pizzi totally agree to always keep it Humble & Classy as well.

Pizzi makes a really good point about keeping yourself humble and I second that. ....I see producers spending a lot of time on their image and working on releasing albums too soon. By all means, help artists produce albums as soon as you are good enough but if you can't sing don't release your own album until people from all over the world are talking about you. You have to earn respect from musicians for years and years before you get it from consumers. ........10,00 hrs to mastery works out to be around 10 years (2 hrs each day) ....Some days you won't get any work done but other days you might spend all day doing it.........Because I'm only really starting out I try to spend just as much time studying music as I do producing it. Sometimes just listening to music and how it is structured or learning about chord progressions (circle of fifths), melody, scales, trends, industry and history. I've even gone as far as learning how sound works and how it was first discovered. For example, did you know the piano is a string instrument just like the guitar? A string is hit every time you press a key. Interesting when you really think about it isn't it? ........Networking is also really important. Lucky for us we have all the tools to do it from our computer at home. Make as much friends as you can. Don't just add people to get your friends count up, actually take the time to get to know people. You never know who you might end up working with in the future. ........I'm no expert but I believe I'm on the right path and if I still love making music in the future as much as I now, I'm sure I will be good enough to make a living off it. ........If you are an aspiring producer who wants to make real friends add me! :-)
