Once upon a time, my first computer was an Apple IIGS (outdated but still works!) and it was shared and loved by our whole family. Reader Rabbit and Oregon Trail. Oh, the trail... good times. But then we switched to P.C. (hey, everyone experiments!). We owned Gateway desktops, Toshiba/HPCompaq laptops, and more. But now we've come full circle. This holiday season I received a wonderful holiday bounty. Courtesy of my dad I got Baby 3.0 (my macbook), a tea tumbler (portable tea maker) and tea infuser (makes a cup of tea). My brother got me 3 months of Netflix. The best present? Giving. No really. I loved the look on my dad's face when he opened his presents as they came. Or when my brother and family finally made it over on New Years Eve with his kids and watching their faces light up. Family may frustrate you but they make your heart glad and keep you warm. I can't wait to experience Oni's reaction. She's earned it. She works so hard, gives so much, and is so fabulous. 2009 is a new year and I can't wait to give more. To give the best parts of myself as I have received the best from those I love. I look forward to trying my luck in Brazil, bringing my mother home, making connections new and old, and finally getting a bit closer to California and beyond. -peace from Chicago
