This Wed. October 24th TRANSMISSION features nothing but the analog & digital synthesized sounds we so love to move to.  My very first dance night (Room 7609) at Jitters downtown many moons ago was a very similar vibe to what I'll lay down this week...only better as we'll play all of the artists who have followed in the wake of all those great new wave gems.

So come and shake it to the likes of - New Order, the Human League, Duran Duran, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark,  LCD Soundsystem, Carl Craig, Giorgio Moroder, A Flock of Seagulls, Fischerspooner, Digitalism, Hot Chip, Cut Copy, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Klaxons, Kraftwerk, Ladytron, Missing Persons, Simian Mobile Disco, Air, Junior Boys, Devo, The Knife, !!!, Goldfrapp, Telex, who made who, Lansing-Dreiden, Japan, Miss Kitten, Fujiya & Miyagi, The Faint, Daft Punk, Tears For Fears,  Ultravox!, John Foxx, Chromeo, Altered Images, MSTRKRFT, Adult., Suicide, ELO, Out Hud, Spandau Ballet, Yaz, Polyrock, Joy Division, M83, Roxy Music, Client, Yellow, YMO, Freezepop, Blondie ...you get the point.

And don't miss next Wed. October 31st (Halloween) for the Ian Curtis / Joy Division night where I will be giving away dozens of free screening passes to check out the new biopic "Control".  This is will be the only place to do so.

you must respect the rock...

Maybe some pioneers early in the eve? Jacques Perrey (E.V.A.!), Silver Apples, Can, Dick Hyman, NEU!, Kraftwerk, etc. Also some Goblin or some kind of synth-y Giallo tracks to scare the hipsters. ;-)

If I still lived in Minneapolis I would love to hear Messages by OMD or Radioactivity by Kraftwerk. Lovely synth bliss to get all the wonderful people dancing.

cheers
ps- hope I can make it, there's just so much going on as of late..should be fun though.

That was a fantastic night last week. I'll be there tomorrow. I just subscribed to your blog, so next time you make a call for requests I'll be dropping in and requesting all my new synthpop/new wave discoveries.
