Hello folks,
Please allow me to introduce the event called "Enban Curry Dojo".

Enban is a record store which is selling Japanese underground music in Koenji, Tokyo.
There are events including live show almost everyday.
"Enban Curry Dojo" is original curry contest that is choosing champion by knockout tournaments.
Anybody can join in to the tournaments.
Even professionals....
I went to see a quarterfinal match tonight.

Always they are selling the interesting stuffs.

Kazuhiko Kato memorial 7inch records exhibition.
He was a Japanese record producer, songwriter, and singer.
He passed away 4 days ago.

Two cooks are finishing up their curry behind the black curtain.
The black curtain is for fairplay. It exist to avoiding organized votes from friends of cooks.

Explaining rule by master of ceremony, Mr. Kikuhi.
He always makes me exciting.

Which is more delicious?
Left or right?
Chicken curry or Coconuts egg curry?
Visitor votes to a better one by using a toy coin.

Vote counting.

Behind the black curtain.

Interview with winner.

After victory or defeat decision, most of visitors want to eat curry again.
How much is charge for admission?
It is 1,000 yen including 1 beer.
I think it is reasonable price.

As far as I know, three musicians were already beaten on this tournament.
I know they are all guitarists...
Shit, people think that guitarist can't cook good curry.
I am planning to join in to next tournaments but this is kind of risky.
If I lose a contest I can't get any money because winner can get all payment from visitors charge.
I know some professionals lost on this tournaments.

Don't forget Enban is a record shop.
I got 2 used LPs.
Sun Ra / Solo piano volume 1.
Bappi Lahiri / Original motion picture soundtrack "Baadal"
I didn't know anything about this '85 Hindi movie.
Bappi Lahiri is a musical director who pioneered the use of disco music in Hindi films.
