Yesterday I took a trip out to San Francisco to do a interview/video-shoot/mini-documentary with Taylor Rogers from VidSF.com and to record a segment/mini-concert for local station AccessSF(ch.29). here are some memorable moments from the trip.

-- on the way over we stop at a Mcdonald's to use the restroom, and as I'm eyeballing the massively over-detailed wallpaper when I see and old ad from the Fresno's McDonalds at Blackstone and Shields..not so weird? well how about we're in The Bay Area. Its fascinating to that old Fresno McDonalds ads are plastered on the walls of others across America...(if you look at the bottom of the pic, you can kinda see "shields" from the crosstreets of the location, Blackstone and Shields.)

We arrive in San Francisco's North Beach around 4:00PM and decide to meet up with Tayor at Mario's Cigar Bar, a cozy little place on the East end of Washington Park. We do the interview, I play, we get free beer annnnd espresso from the owner and I decide to blog about this charming trip a little too late to take pictures of the place.

After some dinner we head over to ACCESSSF to shoot the segment of me melting faces.
As I bring up my gear to the window, a guy has to buzz me in. I totally feel exclusive and rockstar-ish at this moment.


What you can't see in this photo is a huge picture of Amy Goodman to the left, apparently she shoots a show at this station. ..Amy, your my hero.

As we walk into the greenroom I turn to the side and see another ACCESS SF logo, which I feel the need to take a picture of because I'm there and I can.



A producers tells us that they have snacks for us, the positvite side of my mind thinks: "wow, thats really nice of them to do that, I feel appreciated"...the negative side thinks: "because this station is in SF and Amy Goodman does a show here, are they gonna be tofu snacks...yuck."



..we had some good snacks after all..

..we sit in the room and eat out goodies watching another program about local dating, when the producer comes in and calls us in to set up, from here on out I had to turn off my phone so there would be no disruption with the cameras or antenna(really my cell is that powerful?). So I had to turn off my phone..but I did get one shot quickly of the room(notice the disco ball in the upper right hand corner..hmm, whats that about?), there's Taylor from VidSF.com on the left getting a shot of the studio on his camera...
