A Solo Exhibition
August 20th - September 30th 2009

For almost 4 decades, American tattooing has had many names come and go. Few names have earned the respect and admiration such as Bob Roberts. As the names and faces have changed, his impact on the art of tattooing has paved the way for every new artist, and has been a point of aspiration for whole generations to come. His work has influenced everything from tattooing, to fashion, music, and everything in between . His monumental career started in 1973 at the world famous Pike in long beach, and over the last 36 years, his definitive style has made him a legend of American tattoo art. The collection will feature over 30 original works, covering more than a 30 year span of his work, including brand new large scale works featuring signature Bob Roberts Imagery.

We are extremely proud to be hosting Bob Roberts' FIRST EVER solo exhibition at Canvas Los Angeles. Though we have shown a few of Bob's pieces before, this will be the largest collection of his work shown since 2003, when Bob Roberts and Ed Hardy participated in a two man exhibit at Track 16 gallery. The opening reception will be held on THURSDAY August 20th, from 8 PM - Midnight, and will serve as the official pre-party for the 1st annual TATTOO HOLLYWOOD convention.
