Haven't we all asked ourselves that question at least once in our life and I'd say if it asked was only once you might have lived in the duldrums and on the overly cautious side of the fence? We cannot live our lives in caution. For caution does not bring about experience and whelps. And as my father once told me "experience and whelps build character," and we all need character. No? Yes! So cast caution into the wind and keep a good eye on it. Sometimes experience swoops down upon us without warning and the result is whelps. And the subsequent result is character.

You don't have to slip or trip to raise said roof or bring a house down. You don't have to molest the integrity of a structure to raise or bring down. No quaker needed nor demolition crew contracted.Anyways...I stray. The query at hand: Is it better to raise the roof or bring down the house?

Definitely Raise The Roof: there's always room to grow and expand beyond boundaries if the ceiling is removed; it's never good good to be trapped under the rubble of fallen structures.

It's ok to do both. But keep this in mind - don't bring down the roof if you're standing under it!

One other thing.... how does a small mammal cub, or the teeth of a windlass or capstan for that matter, build character? ;) LOL!

Dude,

When raising the roof ("What, what!") is compared to bringing down the house how can we choose sides. Is it better to burn out or fade away? Go find Stevie Wonder's myspace and ask him.

Ultimately if time spent is judged from a weighted perspective, like I find the higher level of intensity of time spent of more value than the total duration being lengthy or vice versa, the choice can be clear.

Yet I would theorize that these weights are based on other life circumstances. For instance, a person could need to rock so hard tonight that this person would rather die then stop because ordinary life tomorrow does not higgs the boson. When your large hadron collider vexes ant-gravitational vortici then the choice is obvious.

i have always hated the whole raise the roof thing and we certainly brought down the house...literally...at the sports page, so i'm going with bringing down the house.
