I met the Reverend while driving down International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach. I was passing by a bus stop when I saw him standing there with his lime green snake skin shoes, a Hawaiian style shirt, a white pork-pie hat with sunglasses, and a sign he was holding over his head, "Will play piano for Krystal Burgers." The rest is history.
I can't believe how amazing The Roll Models act has been. Being a mentor to me and many others, Billy has the uncanny ability to challenge me, and at the same time, dare me to "step it up." If you think I can entertain, The Rev is a MASTER. He's a wig frying boogie woogie player for one, and two, he's damn near the funniest human being on earth, and I mean that in a very good way.
The two man act is tearing it up and getting electrifying reviews. I have found so much joy traveling the states with the Rev. From the non-stop hilarity, to the deep stories of fallen bluesmen, to the basic etiquette of handling club owners, the road is an exciting place to be. Among other places, we have most recently featured the show in Florida, Maryland and the Carolinas.
And for those of you already familiar with the Rev, but haven't seen the two man "Roll Models" act, we have several different shows ranging from G-rated to the highly risqué.
