Hey, before too much time passes I really wanted to send out a very special thank you to everyone who showed up at the Temple bar this past thursday. This show meant a lot to me, it was my first l.a gig in months, kind of a homecoming and I can't lie I was mad nervous before. I was sitting in the dressing room semi shaking tryna take deep breaths when i caught myself forgetting to breathe(who does that haha ?!?!?! ). I tried not to look out into the crowd before going on stage cuz i thought it would make the butterflies flutter quicker in my stomach but I couldn't help myself and in the end took a quick peek. Thank god the first people i saw were my best friend Aura and her sister Lala (aka big sis i never had) , they were of course right in front. I immediately shut the door to avoid making matters worst for myself. It's insane how something you feel is so second nature, so built in, can make you feel so nervous and scared, yet confident and excited to run up there all at once. The craziest thing of the night was looking out into the crazy crowd of people and recognizing over 75% of the crowd and doing MAD double takes when realizing I just saw someone I hadn't seen since high school. Guess that's how it goes when you're doing a show in the city you've lived in the past 11 years. Anyway the show was amazing all thanx to my peeps who always make me feel right at home up on stage, and of course my band , my boys, the "sugar daddies" (they now call themselves) , backin' me up. Even Though, if you were there, you know it was LEGITIMATELY 108 degrees up there, i've never broken such a sweat up there, not even in ATL, not even hot ass VEGAS. It was crazy, Idris kept freaking out thinking his sticks were gonna fly out of his hands, i ended up giving him my hoodie to dry off his face cuz he didn't know where his towel disappeared to. Over all it was amazing having so much support and I can't wait till my next L.A show : ) ... all those who showed up you're the BOMB.com.. the rest who couldn't make it I better see your cute face on Sept.12th at the mint!!!!!
