Hello Supagroup nation.

Sorry we've been out of touch for a while. We finished touring for "Fire For Hire" in early November and have given ourselves a much needed break. Our second single "Jailbait" charted for fifteen weeks, topping out in the low forties on the Active and Mainstream Rock charts. The first single "What's Your Problem Now" did about the same. Close but no cigar as they say. But we made some real inroads into that world and hopefully there is till such a thing as Radio Stations (or The Music Business, for that matter) by the time we put out another record. We had a great time seeing all of you out on the road, and our first real foray into the world of rock radio was awesome. Thanks to all the stations that played us and especially to all of you guys who let us play your festivals. There really is nothing better than playing all the big shows you put us on.

Our feature film debut "College" came and went Labor Day weekend with a meager $6.5 M gross. And that was that. But it was still a fun experience and great to see yourself forty feet tall. We actually are in the movie for a pretty big portion, and our songs "Jailbait" and "Let's Go (Get Wasted)" are in there even longer. However, I suspect the producers really don't give two shits about the theatrical release, because the DVD is going to do some solid business. In our two or three scenes, there were at least forty pairs of naked tits on screen, and surely more will be in the unrated version. It's a must have gift for the teenage boy in your life. For all you Supagroup completists, the "College" DVD comes out Jan 29th, 2009, and you can preorder it here:

We are currently writing our next album, our fourth for Foodchain Records. Brueggen thinks we should call it "Failure Is A Luxury", so that's the working title so far. The new stuff is really coming out great, a few songs have more of a metal edge than we usually have. It's still early in the writing though, so hard to say what's going to make it to the finals. We're thinking about a first quarter 2010 release, so we've got some time to mine the rock for you. In the meantime, hope your holidays are swell, and have a happy New Year.

Chris? I'm back (by popular demand, haha) now that my divorce is done, and seeing shows again. I hope you guys come through Virginia in 2009. I'll definitely be there. I'm definitely gonna pick up the DVD, too, for me, not for some needy nerdy teenager. Still "cursed" with work, Glenn Tillman.

"Failure is a Luxury"  That's a good one. We are composing the next album along the same theme only calling ours "10 Years, Still Broke."  Anyways, I loved both 'RULES' and 'Fire for Hire'. Can't wait for the new shit.
