If you're a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or community member, here's a really easy way to pitch in to support a school.
Here's how the contest works:* Go to
www.AmericasFavoriteSchool.com and vote for your school (you can search by zip code or by city and state).
* Once you have voted, you will see easy tools to use to spread the word online.
* You will get a personalized URL that you can use to promote the contest in your own emails or on your website. With your personalized URL, anyone who votes through that URL gets counted as your "friend" and the 20 people who recruit the most friends to vote win a $50 gift card.
Care2 is giving away $36,000 to schools across the United States. Schools don't need to register to participate -- every school listed on GreatSchools' website is automatically entered into the contest, and almost every school in the country is listed.
