Current mood:  blah
Our people are doomed. I know this is something that has been said over and over again but I have to rant about it. Decades ago blacks were together. In the days of pre Civil Rights movements on up to when the movements started blacks had to stick together to fight oppression and survive. There were plenty of black intellects in those times. George Washington Carver, Booker T. Washington, Meggie L. Walker, Daniel Hale Williams, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks and Angela Davis just to name a few. Many years ago it was cool to get an education and become the best man or woman you can be. Many years ago the black community shunned criminals and drug dealers. The Black Panther Party was around taking care of our people and making sure we were protected. We fought for our respect and although whitey didn't like us they had to give it to us.

After the Civil Rights movements we were in a new day and age. The 70's was in full effect and everybody was partying. Racism was still alive but it wasn't as bad and everybody was trying to put it behind them. Blacksploitation movies were common which in my opinion was the start of our down hill drive. Our two black leaders were dead and gone and the Black Panthers were in grave danger. No body really cared because it was a party going on. Why don't we just sit down and watch an episode of Good Times and just get over it.

The 80's rolled in and things really took a downward spiral. Rap music was blowing up after its birth in the 70's. Rap music was a positive outlet for artist to get their message out to the black community. Thanks to Gangsta Rap which became large in the late 80' rap was no longer positive. The crack epidemic became a big problem in the black community and AIDS was a new, growing monster. Murder rates were skyrocketing in cities all across the country primarily in black communities. This was the start of true turmoil in the black community.

Today we are living in a generation of AAC (African American Clowns). As I mentioned before our two black leaders are dead and gone just to be replaced by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Young black men aren't trying to go to college but instead they want to be the biggest dope boy. It's not about becoming a rocket scientist or brain surgeon but it's about how big your realms are and what type of car you drive. Instead of wearing a suit and tie most young black men want to see how far they can wear their pants off of their ass. What happened to the talent in music? Have our people lost the ability to learn how to play an instrument? I remember a time when rappers gave you complex rhymes that would sometimes be difficult to figure out. Now our rap music is geared to pre school kids. Our women don't believe in family anymore but instead a child support check. Black women nowadays are so damn strong they don't need us. They say they can be the mother and father but look at the shape of the black community today without the father compared to the black community many decades ago with the father. Kids are having kids now and this is a growing phenomenon each and everyday. The government's interfering with us by giving out welfare checks and other types of aid like a candy dispenser destroyed our family. Welfare is important if it is dearly needed but that's not the case. Nowadays women are using this along with child support to replace the man. Young black men out here with no guidance are killing each other and terrorizing the black community to no end. Last but not least the black man and black woman have become enemies. When will this insanity stop???
