Knowing who we are in God's kingdom as believers helps us to understand the power in God's word and in who we are through Christ Jesus. Knowing this, we can walk victoriously through any and every challenge that stands in our way.
Who He Is!
John 1:1-3 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (John 4:24) – God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth. (Rom. 4:17) - …God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. (Heb. 11:1,3) – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen……By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are not seen…. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to Him must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
The Power of God through Him!
(Heb. 4:4) – Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confessions. (Col. 2:9-10) - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (1 Pet. 2:24 ) -- ....who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripe you were healed. (Rom. 8:11 ) - But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Phil. 2:13 ) - …for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
The Victory We Have in Him!
(2nd Cor. 2:14) - Now thanks be to God who always leads us to triumph in Christ and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (Eph. 1:3-7,11) - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.....In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Eph. 2:10) - ….that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times, He might gather together in one all things, in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him. (John 1:16 ) - And of His fullness, we have all received, and grace for grace.
The Power We Have in Him!
(Eph. 3:19- 20 ) – .. “and what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. (James 4:7-8 ) - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you….Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (Is. 55:11 ) – “So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the things for which I sent it.
Our Committment to Him!
(Psalms 1:1-3) - Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sites in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalms 35:27) - Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
The Faith We Have in Him!
(Col. 3:16 ) – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Rom.10:9-10 ) - …that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (2nd Cor. 5:17,21) – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new…..For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (Heb. 11:3 ) – By faith we understand that the worlds are framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were made of things which are not seen. (Gal. 5:16-18 ) - I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Our Dedication to Him!
(Rom 12:1-2) – I beseech you therefore my brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God, which is your primary service. (1st Cor. 6:19-20) - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1st Cor. 9:27 ) – But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
(Rom. 8:31-39 ) – What then shall we say to these things ( that I have given you). If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things.”
Getting to Know Him!
(John 8:12,31-32 ) – “ I am the lights of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life….If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 15:7 ) If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 13:34-35) – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 7:38 ) - …if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believeth in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. (John 14:12-13) - Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 16:24) - And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full.(John 15:16) You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father, in My name, He may give you. (John 16: 26-27 ) - In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray to the Father for you; for the Father himself loves you because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.
Power in Truth
(Heb. 10:26) - For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. (James 5:16 ) - Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. (Is. 41:10 ) – “ Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (Gal. 6:8-9 ) – For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows of the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do notlose heart.
Relationship With Him!
(Mark 11:23-24 ) – For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. (1st John 5:13,14-15 ) – Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know we have the petitions we have asked of Him. (1st John 4:4) - . ….greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world. (3rd John 1:2) – Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (Phil 4:6-7) – Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication;, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Matt. 18:18 ) – Assuredly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Walking in Faith through Him!
(2nd Cor. 2:14-15 ) – Where ever I go, I thank God, He makes my life a constant pageant of triumph in Christ, diffusing the perfume of his knowledge everywhere by me. I live for God as the fragrance of Christ breathed alike by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. (Gal.2:20 ) – I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Phil 2:9-11) – Wherefore also God exalted Him and gave unto Him the name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of beings in heaven, beings on earth and of beings under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Col. 1:9-12 ) – …that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
The Protection We Have in Him!
(John 10:10) – The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly. (Eph. 6:12-13) - For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph. 2:10) – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (1st Cor.2:5 ) – That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (John 3:16) – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
To be at Peace with Him!
(Phil. 4:11 ) – I have learned in whatsoever state I am in, therein to be independent of circumstances. (2nd Tim 1:7 ) – For God has not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (Phil. 4:8) - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things. (1 Peter 5:8) - Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (Gal. 5:24-25) – And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with all its passions and desires. If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
The Power and Protection We Have in Him!
(Phil. 4:13 ) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Mark 9:23 ) – “ If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. (2nd Cor. 5:7 ) – “For we walk by faith, not by sight. (Phil. 4:19) And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (2nd Tim. 4:18) – And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. (Is. 54:17) - No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, You, O Lord, will condemn. (Col.3:16-17 ) – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymn and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Col.2:9 ) – For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Phil. 3:14 ) – I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:6) - … being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Eph. 3:20 ) – Now to Him who able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or think according to the power that works in Him. (Gal 2:20 ) – I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself to me. (Romans 8:28,38) – And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels or principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Reaching Out to Him
(1st Cor. 10:13,15,22) – No temptation has overtaken you except such is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear it. (2nd Tim. 2:3 ) – You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ….Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth….Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all… (James 1:1-4) - My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let the patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
(Heb. 13:1-2,8 ) – Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some have unwittingly entertained angels…..Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
The Knowledge We Have in Him!
(2nd Peter 1:2-4,5-8 ) – Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust…. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1st Tim.4:12,14 -16 ) – Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity…..Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophesy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
Our Divine Assignment
(1st Peter 4:7-9) – But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multiple of sins. (Matt. 6:14-15) - For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your heavenly Father forgive you. (1 Thess. 5:16-18,21) – Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you…..Test all things; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. (1 John 4:1) – Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets hae gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Anti-christ, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. (1st Peter 3:17 ) – For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. (1st Cor. 13:13) – And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”(John 14:6) – I am the way, the truth and the life. No one come to the Father except through Me. (Matt. 24:42,44) – Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming…. therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
May the Lord bless the reading of His Word.
