Not for the first time the Saddams were shutdown in the middle of a gig this weekend. The gig at Synergy Centre in Camberwell was well attended by Saddam fans, assorted Climate Change marchers and Saturday night drop-ins. Despite PA problems, we played three songs before having the mikes unplugged on us during the climax of Texan Republicans. "You're rubbish!" explained the clearly disturbed soundman, "get off my stage!" This person - who turned out to be none other than the Director and chief shareholder of the Synergy Project - was later to be observed grimacing and twitching in the shadowy recess behind his very impressive Soundcraft 24 channel mixing desk. We do not know if it was the Saddams who had this effect on Mr P, or if he was already like this - all future giggers be warned!
