BRAINSTORM COMICS WATCH FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28th!
Hey everyone! Thank you for joining us again for another edition of our weekly newsletter.
INDIE COMIC WEEK - DECEMBER 27th THROUGH JANUARY 2nd!
As you may (or may not know), Diamond is NOT shipping anything the last week of December. But in place of that we're going to feature local creators AND have a day long New Years celebration. We'll have some food, some soda, some comics and some fun. Just because there's nothing from Diamond doesn't mean you have to stay away.
So, if you are a local artist or writer and you have a book that you want people to see, then email me. If you know someone who has their own book, then forward them this email. We want to have a nice mix of creators here throughout the day. It will be your chance to meet people, introduce yourselves and hopefully get your book into some hands.
We're going to have some FANTASTIC specials that day and there just might be a surprise or two to help ring in the New Year in spectacular fashion!
COMIXOLOGY I know, I keep pushing this. But I truly think it's an awesome site and really is part of the wave of the future in comic retailing. Want to have more control over your pull list? Then set it up on www.comixology.com and then link it to our store. I get an email daily with all updates made the day before. It's really simple.
1. When you go to the website you'll need to register for the free account. 2. Then you'll get an email asking you to confirm your registration. 3. Once that is confirmed, you can start building your list. 4. To add something as a regular pull, hit the 'Subscribe' button. If you can't find a particular title, go to the Power Search in the upper right hand corner. 5. To add just a certain issue, hit the 'Pull' button. 6. To link your list to Brainstorm, type in the 60622 zip code in the Shop Locator. 7. Locate the listing for Brainstorm in the list and click on the link. 8. Choose the 'Connect' button on the left, fill out the subscriber agreement form and you're done!
To confirm that it took, when you log into the site under your username click on the SETTINGS link. This takes you to a page EDIT YOUR PROFILE where you'll choose SETTINGS...under that is RETAILER CONNECTION...it should list Brainstorm there. Then you'll know it's done.
