Hi Everyone,

       My name is Karen Gifford.  I was one of the winners to the exclusive Taylor Swift concert at the studio/radio station.  After the concert Taylor drew my name out of the barrel for the George Strait concert grand prize.  I along with 5 friends or family got to go on a tour bus to George's concerts in Knoxville,TN and in Charleston,SC.

Myself, my husband Richard and our sons Michael & Darrell went along with their wifes Elisha & Kellie.  We loaded the bus the bus with our tour manager Jen Van Horn (Tour Manager), Donny Michael (Asst. Tour Manager), Ed Nash (Verge Management), Paul Grey (Bus Driver)...When we got on the bus everything we requested was on there, all the food & drinks we wanted.  Now the tour begins when we leave the radio station parking lot for Knoxville at 11:30 am on Friday Feb 23,2007.  And the party starts also.  We all had so much fun, we talked & laughed & danced & ate lunch on the bus.  So you know we all partied hard on there.  When we arrived in Knoxville we stopped at the Hampton Inn so our wonderful bus driver could get some well deserved rest.  After that Donny took over the driving.  We all went to Thompson Boling Arena.  There George Strait's people sent supper out to the Gigbus for everyone.  That was so great of them to do that.  After we ate we had to get ready to go meet George Strait himself at the arena.  After we as a group went backstage for a good time with George himself, we got pictures and autographs.  After we was done we went to our seats so we could watch the show.  Taylor Swift opened the show.  Then Ronny Milsap came out.  After they did their "thang" and what a great job they did George came out.  And man did he work it in a great way.  We took so many pictures before, during and after the show.  Well back to the Gigbus-we go and by that time our bus driver Paul Grey was all rested up for our next journey to Charleston,SC. back on the bus the party starts again.  I can't tell what all went on-on the Gig Bus, because what happens on the Gigbus stays on the gigbus.  All I'm gonna say is man we had fun.  Well now we are in North Charleston,SC.  We dropped our bus driver off at the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel so he could get his rest.  We all woke up and went in and ate breakfast & took showers in the hotel.  Donny took over the driving again and we all went to Walmart so we could get things to prep for our cookout before the concert that night.  We parked in the North Charleston Coliseum parking lot for our tailgating party at the GugBus. We all had a great time.  We meet people that were also tailgating and we kinda lost track of time because we were having a blast.  So we had to rush and get ready so we could all go and hang out with Taylor Swift & Ronnie Milsap before the concert began.  Taylor & Ronnie are such awesome people.  We were able to get autographs & pictures with them.  After that we went to our seats for the show.  First it was Taylor Swift then Ronnie Milsap performed before George Strait came on.  Then George came on and performed.  He also did an awesome job.  After the concert we all went back to the GigBus to hang out & have fun before we had to get back on the road to head back home to Tennessee.  That part I regretted because we were having so much fun. Jen Van Horn & Donny Michael are so fun to hang out with.  If I had a chance to go hang out with them again, I would in a heartbeat.  You can go to (gigtours.com) to learn more about GigTours. We arrived  back at WSIX The Big 98 at 10:30AM on Sunday Feb 25,2007.  We went a total of 1,100 miles in just 47 hours.  If I did not mention anything  thats because what happened on the GigBus stays on the GigBus.
