Our recent trip to
Caribbean Holidaze in Jamaica was a huge success. As a result of our silent auction, almost $4,000 was raised for the
Windsor Girls Home of Queen Anne’s Jamaica. The auction contained some great items including two all-inclusive vacations to
Breezes and Hedonism III resorts, five Caribbean Holidaze festival “giclee” prints by
Jeff Wood, and various Umphrey’s McGee and Disco Biscuits signed Conscious Alliance posters and memorabilia. A raffle was also held for any patron that donated school supplies and/or girls clothing. The Caribbean Holidaze crowd gave an overwhelming response to the raffle, filling over 10 large boxes with supplies. Conscious Alliance, along with Caribbean Holidaze staff and the band
Toubab Krewe took a passenger van to the Windsor Girls Home to deliver the supplies. At the Girls Home, Toubab Krewe performed a very powerful and intimate acoustic show for the girls. Tears of joy were shed, everyone danced, and shared in the one of the most memorable experiences in many of the girl’s lives. A big thank you to Superclubs Resorts of Jamaica, Cloud 9 Productions, and Toubab Krewe for a successful project. Looking forward to next year!
