Current mood:  excited

Well I am back at LCC and things are looking pretty good. I got in to three classes, all the teachers seem like they really know their subjects and are interested in the subject. Which is a huge improvement from the jack-ass of a teacher I had in the business program who started one class by telling us "I really do not want to teach this class but the administration is making me".

The big question now is; can I pull it off? I have never really cared about my grades before. But I need to now. If I want any chance of getting into the first career that actually holds some interest for me, I am going to need pretty good grades. That said, without caring I averaged a B so I hope I can pull it up to at least an A- average now.

Then of course there is the problem of trying to get all my prerequisites done fast enough. I am not sure I have enough time before next fall.

One of the hardest things about school is successfully negotiating the "jack-ass" teacher who couldn't care less. I've been in too many classes like that, and at first I used to really get pissed.

Now, I try to look at it this way: this person goes home every day and hates their job. Meanwhile, the gub-ment is paying me to go back to school and take any classes I want. I think I came out on top in the arrangement.

Most of the time, now, when I see teachers like this, it makes me laugh.
