It is official. The Buick is deceased.  Yes, the car I've been bitching about for lord knows how long is finally kaput.  I hauled its carcass down to the dealership and traded it in.  It was bittersweet...well, not really...I'm so fucking glad that that albatross is out from around my neck that I could truly do a dance for joy!  It got me around, and yes, I'll miss it a bit, but, damn if it wasn't a pain in the ass for the last two years...It's like breaking up with someone who is a lazy ass and you've been trying to get them to move on something and finally you just give up and dump them.  Or ditching someone at the mall and going home without them.  Whatever.  That hunk of shit is gone, gone, GONE!

I did trade it in for a "pre-owned" vehicle, but at least it is one with a high resale value and low miles...My new wheels you ask?  VW Jetta (aka the poor man's Mercedes/BMW/other German vehicle).  Yaaaaaaaaaaay!  I love my new (pre-owned) vehicle and here is a list as to why:

1.  When I put the key in & turn the ignition, IT STARTS!
2.  I can go from A to B to C without lugging around water jugs/bottles like I'm chasing down Rommel in a Jeep through the damn Sahara.
3.  It's cute!!!! [Not usually something that I'd say, but dammit it is cute.]
4.  It gets great gas mileage.
5.  The Buick was too big & this is just right.  I'm one person & don't really need that much car.
6.  It isn't red or a variation of red...have had too many red cars in the past and that seems to be a problem.  They are targets.

I could keep going and list a million and one reasons why I love my car, but in the interest of brevity I'll end the list here.

Yeaaa! I am so thrilled for you. You rock!! There is nothing like the feel of a new car even it is "pre-owned". I remember when I finally got rid of that brown truck and got my Taurus. Even better when we got the Expedition. There are no words to describe the feeling. I can't wait to see it...so you better get ready to "book it danno"!!! Congratulations girlie!! Luv ya and talk to you soon!!!

Congrats on the new wheels. Nothing better then have a new car. I have that new car itch right now but I keep saying "NO" to myself. Nothing wrong with the car I have. But you just never know about me ha. Have fun with it. I'm very happy for you. Gail
