Yes, when I crawled out of bed and realized my illness was not completely gone as I had hoped it would be, I turned on the TV and the UFC pay-per-view, which was airing live Saturday night in the States, was on Korean basic cable for free.

Either way, considering the way things have been going with this upper respiratory illness, which has been making me miserable since the start of my third week here, I decided to root for the challenger as opposed to the champion.  A change of tide seemed necessary.  And appropriate.

Machida, the champion, won by one point from each judge.  Unanimous decision.  However, a very large portion of the crowd booed, and even the announcer seemed to think the decision should have gone the other way.  Controversial decision.
