Happy Mothers Day

Mothers Day is a time of year where we all give thanks to the special woman we call Mom.

I believe being a Mother is single handedly the most important job any human being can hold. Mother's not only birth us, but also mold us to ultimately become the best version of ourselves.

Many of you know I lost my Mother a few years back. There are no words that exist to explain the void that is left behind when you lose the one person who you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, loves you unconditionally...FOR REAL!

I remember thinking as a child there is no way I could ever go on without my best friend, known to everyone else as my Mother.
She was not only my rock, but also my foundation and light. Somehow I am still here 5 years later to write this.

What I know for sure is there is a higher power called God that is bigger than all of us, and with his guidance and support I am here today. I know my Mother's spirit is always surrounding me as she shows me daily how close she still is.

Please do not take your Mother's for granted! This thing called Life passes very quickly, and in one day everything can change.
Celebrate your Mother's daily and not just once a year. Always remember the true meaning of the word Love.

The Guide to the Most Important Form of Communication in Today's Dating World

Damone Roberts New York clients Debra Goldstein and Olivia Baniuszewicz have created the ultimate guide to wooing your guy over text in their new book Flirtexting: How to Text Your Way to His Heart.

A "flirtext" is defined by the authors as any text message sent between you and a boy you would like to date or are currently dating (i.e., someone you would like to make out with or are currently making out with).

These texts are normally comprised of the flirty, witty banter that you throw back and forth with each other that typically leads to a date and, if you're lucky, then some.

You love this type of flirting over text because it's a noncommittal way for you to let him know you are digging him.

Mother's day has always been a very special occasion in my family. My siblings and I always make it a super fun, creative day for our mom.

We like to think outside the box and choose unconventional ways to share the day with mom.

This year, we will spend the day putting a fresh coat of paint in Mom's room. Once it dries, my brother, sisters and I will decorate the walls. I've decided to print the following poem as a border along the top of each wall.

I hope you all enjoy Mother's Day with the person or people who have helped you become who you are today!

A Perfect Mother

Since the moment I entered this world,
You have cared for me like no other.
There is only one way to describe you,
You are in every way a perfect Mother.
Through the years you have watched me grow,
So many memories we can now replay.
You've been there to love and protect me,
From my birth to this very day.
When there's a cloud covering my path,
Or a problem I am about to face.
You'll be the one, who wipe away my tears,
And puts everything back in its place.
Your warm touch is one of a kind,
So gentle it sends me to sleep.
Your voice is one of an angel,
A beauty only you deserve to keep.
The way you always make me smile
And the way you play with my hair.
When I need to talk, you put me first,

The Perfect Gift for Mom
