Penis Surgery A Bit Short of Expectations...
Size matters to Wayne Ronald Collings.
So the 53 year old unemployed man was horrified when he awoke from a painful penis enlargment procedure to find his appendage was 2cm shorter.
"It was just tiny, very short, tiny. It never cahnged,"Mr Collings told the NSW district court yesterday.
He told the court his plastic surgeon,Peter Haertsch"guaranteed" him a penile enhancement or 2.5cm to 5cm in length and 2cm to 3cm in circumfrence in both flaccid and erect states.
But instead, the phaloplasty and dermal fat graft performed at Westside Private Hospital in Sydney in March1997 resulted in"penile retraction" which required th application of wieghts to the penis and unsightly scars on his buttocks,he alleges.
Mr Collings.of Kellyville,is suing Dr.Haertsch for allegedly failing to warn him of the risks involved in the procedure.
Mr.Collings alleges he suffers numbness in the penile shaft, pain in the pubic area, diminution in ability to engage in sex, loss of confidence and an adjustment disorder requiring psychiatric treatment.
In the witness box yesterday,Mr Collings said that after the operation he experienced erections every 15 to 20 minutes, whicj made it impossible for him to sleep for two months.
"I wasnt able to sleep and it was horrific pain"he said.
Dr Haertsch is yet to respond to the allegations.

Rugby league bad boyJohn Hopoate was last night suspended for 12 weeks by the NRL judiciary after being found guilty of unsportsmanship like behaviour.
Hopoate,27,was found guilty on 3 seperate counts of deliberatley sticking his fingers up the anuses of North Queensland players Peter Jones,Paul Bowman and Glen Morrison in Townsville on saturday night.
The judiciary determined his actions to be against the true spirit of the game.
Hopoates' defence council failed to convince Jones that his client had merley administered a "wedgie"on the cowboy in the seventh minute of the match.
"It wasnt a wedgie, thats when your pants are pulled up your ass,I know the difference between a wedgie and somebody sticking their fingers up my bum"said Jones.
