Ahem.
This is a test.
I have read (and even subscribed) to many blogs in my time, and it's about time I gave it a try. I will try to post something here as often as possible. Hopefully my blah blah blah will be either mildly amusing, or occasionally informative.

If all else fails I could always post a movie review on one of the latest dvd's we have been watching.

Like "Slither" for example...
As with most schlocker flicks, I get to watch the first bits to "vet" the gross-out-ness in case Jo will need to "make a cup of tea" during the "sploshy" bits.

Note: If a movie has some part that catches Jo's interest, the movie shall be deemed Suitable for Continued Viewing (SCV). If the movie just gets worse and worse, or if there are no redeeming moments, the rating will sink to Shoddy, Hateful, Idiotic Trash (SHIT).

Rating Scale: A = Must Own. B = Must See. C = Good Watch.
D = Not Good. E = Shoddy, Hateful, Idiotic Trash.

"Slither" has some gross-out moments but steers pretty much down the centre lane of "Zombie / alien critter / mutating civilians / slimy worm thingy" brand of B-Style movie.
There is not too much in the way of too over-the-top violence or gore and the humour is scattered throughout the film to keep the mood light. The actors were very likeable and did a good job with a relatively by-the-numbers script.
I've seen a LOT of science fiction films in my lifetime and I didn't hate this one.

I like this kind of film so I give it a healty Thumbs-up, for anyone looking for a fun, lying on a couch weekend movie. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but not terrible.
I'll give it a C+.
