-Falling too
Bella35- I love this album, the music is so innocent and kind hearted that anyone loves rock and even the occastional acoustic will love this album.
-I'm Waiting
Songs44K- I stumbled upon this artist while searching for someone else. I bought his 1st album, and although I liked it, I thought the songs didn't really fit with each other. A little too much variety, or variety of the wrong kind, or something.
On his second album, the songs were more consistent with each other. His has gone with a heavy metal sound, and the IMO has done a pretty good job. The first song I'm Waiting, delivers a sound that is pretty close to what Godsmack would produce. I also enjoyed New Born a lot, because it has something of a stop and go quality that isn't in the other songs. It's still a little metal-ish song, but provides variety in a good way. I think those are the 2 best songs on the album and would give 5 stars for those 2 songs. I also like Feeling Alive and Don't Cry quite a bit. A few of the remaining songs aren't as memorable, but they are still a little better than the average 3 star song. maybe a 3.5.
All in all, a strong collection of songs. I hope he builds enough of a following that we'll hear some more albums from him in the future.

JettSet Records06/11/2009 03:50 pmArtist of the Month Contest Song Review- Silly Fool
It's
a good song. I hink it just needs to be cleaned up a little. more. The
voice almost has a "metal screaming" sound to it. I think if it was
sung a little softer than that.. more clearer, it would be perfect.
Great job.

Song Review- This Girl
the
song was very simple and sometimes i feel i didn't find the meaning he
was trying to convey....overall it is a good piece, the timing is great
and instrumentation is very well played

Artist of the Month Contest Song Review- This Girl
Guitar
sounds good...I like the harmony vocal, sounds like a female, good mix,
it may be a false part though...anyway it sounds good...I would like to
hear this track with some bass..I think there might even be one, but
its really low....Has a very nice arrangement...I could hear this on
the radio...Very catchy and easy to listen too...

Artist of the Month Contest Song Review- Gramp's song
Im
not a fan of an acoustic electric guitar, It would sound better with a
mic'ed acoustic....But its not bad or anything...I think this is like a
tribute to his grandfather, which I can definetly feel, But I would
definetly give it a little bit more substance..I think I could say a
whole lot more about my Grandfather...Music is nice, but the mix could
use some remixing.....I would definetly try and add another verse and
and Maybe even a bridge...Good Luck in the future
-JettSet Records07/21/2009 02:25 pmArtist of the Month Contest Song Review-Gramp's song
I
really liked the music and the production on this song and the
musicianship was great..I liked the lyrics but felt like something was
left out or not complete..I think better wording would help in the
delivery of the vocal.

Song Review- Gramp's song
Your voice reminds me a little of Sully of GodSmack on this one!

GetChuSomeMuzik (HTTP://SOSTLOUIS.NING.COM)12/09/2008 06:28 amSong Review- Just Relax
the
voice is so cheesy, it sounds like Cher in a bad way but lyrics arent
that bad, i like some of the breakdowns, the band isnt half bad but the
lead singer is horrible.
-Salazar 11/21/2009 01:24 pm- I'm Waiting
Artist of the Month Contest Song Review
Good
tune, great chorus. I would like to hear maybe a little more variation
in the melody line of the verses, though... I'm not saying go
progressive jazz with it, but it almost sounds monotone in the first
verse. Also (and this is just a suggestion), try adding some "ahhs" as
background vocals in the chorus, for the choral pad effect. It might
sound cool.
-Prettyboy Records11/21/2009 01:22 pm- I'm Waiting
This
song rocks except the vocals. I think the singer needs a more deeper
and gothic sound to the vocals to make it sound better in the verses.
The electric guitar rocks even though I was waiting for a crazy guitar
solo and didn't get to hear one. That would've made this song sound
a lot better.
-Jimmy o'toole- I'm Waiting
great sound / stop in and give me a listen
-Cory Stackz 11/18/2009 09:58 am- I'm Waiting
I`m Waiting
Man I love this song the beat is crazy!!!
-8trax07/15/2009 02:21 pmArtist of the Month Contest Song Review-I'm Waiting
I'm
not in love with this type of music. But I love music and the
instruments in this song were good. I didn't like the artist's voice
too much and tried to listen past it - to judge fairly. The drums are
hot!! I read the lyrics that were posted and it was cool. There is a
definite market for this sound. Everything was arranged great and kudos
for production. This artist knew what he was doing. The lead vocals
were strong and it went along with the instruments chosen for the song.
All in all this was pretty good.

Pretty good, but not good enough for the music world today.
-Review from Candy Ass Promotions on CD
?I?m Waiting,? from the album of the same name, stands as the tone-setter for the CD (thus its selection as the lead single). It?s a sterling example of Palangi?s style, both as a songwriter and performer. Propelled both by rich melodies and driving riffs and percussive grooves, ?I?m Waiting? is a brilliant blend of heartfelt, emotional songwriting and Palangi?s own brand of hard rock energy. Mid-tempo but with balanced, heavy crunch, ?I?m Waiting? moves with an urgent pulse that draws in the listener with tangible hooks. The verses have the pull of Homer?s beloved, dread sirens, luring the hearer into a big-sound chorus that explodes with color, all of which is in line with Palangi?s songwriting philosophy. ?I like a good drum beat and catchy guitar riffs,? Palangi says. ?And the chorus and theme MUST stand out.? And the song?s production is gleaming and pristine, bringing just the right amount of density versus space to the tune. Thematics are vital elements in Palangi?s songwriting. Every one of his songs is built from a core theme that shapes the construction of the song and gives Palangi a focal point as he creates each new tune. ?It sets a goal and makes you think hard on that one idea,? he says, emphasizing his belief that an artist should put his all into everything he or she writes. Not only does Palangi write all his own music ? he also brings it all to life. He sings and plays every instrument on the entire ?I?m Waiting? album. The ability to be self-contained as an artist is an important part of Palangi?s musical world. He endures severe allergies, as well as asthma, and being in a position to do everything himself staves off obstacles that would otherwise arise if he was in a collaborative project.

Music Comments:
These tracks are strong hard rock tracks with an indie
and alternative feel to them.
The guitar work is progressive and the drumming is strong.
The energy is great on these tracks and the vocals are powerful
and have a huge sound to them. All these songs have an overlaying
effect whether on vocals or guitars that give the album that alternative
rock sound. The guitar breakdowns are heavy and catchy. The acoustic pop
tracks have good edge to them and those are the tracks that really bring
out the vocal quality more. Franks voice is deep and the acoustic feel
lets him sing softer and more personal. The harder heavier tracks are
still a great fit for his vocal style since it helps him really belt
which he's great at. Single suggestions would be "Save Me" and "Money Hungry Greed"
since both tracks bring out the strongest parts of each style Frank hits on.
Excellent work and a new venture in sound for this artist that works very well.
Production is good and the power of each track really comes through strong.-Frank, Thanks for your inquiry..we listened to all three songs are loved them. The song, for me, that stood out was track "This Girl" because it really showcased your voice.-

-Reviews for "I'm Waiting" song single

Mark A Lester- fan from Maine
"I'm not a musician and I'm not a reviewer, but here I am reviewing a new music CD by up and comer Frank Palangi. Life is nothing if not interesting. Don't worry, this won't hurt and you might even learn something."
"Frank Palangi's new song, "I'm Waiting" possesses a heavy, melodic, dark grunge feel and is a rare treat for those who love the thrill of discovering new, independent talent, although be warned - you'll likely find yourself replaying the song's melody in your head for days to come."
"In addition to writing the music and performing the vocals Palangi also plays all the instruments on his new CD titled "I'm Waiting" proving that not only his he literally a one-man-band but that he possesses a rare talent with them all. Heavy guitar and throbbing drums along with Palangi's deep, dark singing voice bring to mind classic metal of the past done with a modern flare."
My personal favorites?
"I'm Waiting"
"Just Relax"
"Gramp's Song"John Strough-fan from Queensbury NY
"This song is a testament to the maturation of Frank Palangi as more
than a muscian; yet as an artist.... And I have a feeling that the best is
yet to come!"
-Christine Petit-fan from Queensbury NY
"I wanted to let you know that I really like "I'm Waiting".
You've really improved on vocals and stuff."
-Frank Mineo-fan from Queensbury, NY
"I already expected the music to be good but instead, it was amazing! The music is extremely captivating; it encompasses many rock influences and yet it does not sound generic, it has its own independent quality. It is obvious that Frank has not only put time, but also passion into his music. You can tell that Frank's music is professionally designed because each song touches you on some sort of emotional level.
Good luck Frank, ROCK ON!"
-Mike Hathway- fan from Glens Falls, NY
"This song is definately a great start towards experimenting with different sounds. I'm Waiting is a bit more darker and heavier than the songs from the last album. It's a big step towards accomplishing the tough feat of maintaining heaviness and keeping a mainstream sound. If this is just a glimpse of whats to come I'm already salivating at what the rest of the disc sounds like."
-Greg Casale. fan from Glens Falls, NY
"I'm Waiting" has a very mainstream metal sound to it. I like the different guitar riffs and the effects used in the song. The song's mood changes frequently which makes it more interesting leaves you wanting to hear more. Frank's vocals are in perfect sync with the song's tempo. Good job Frank, can't wait to hear the rest of the album."
-Erin Englehart- fan from Saratoga, NY
" The song I'm Waiting has taken a difftrent direction from the first album " Falling too" It has a more edgy hard rock sound to it yet still stays with the style of music Frank produces. I'm stoked to hear the rest of the album! Good Luck Frank! xoxo."
-Jay Ruzicka- Director from Clifton Park, NY
"Reminiscent of the sounds of Godsmack, Palangi's "I'm waiting" packs a haunting and energetic punch in just under 4 minutes."
-Gator-fan from Fort Edward NY
"I love "I'm Waiting." I guess that I wasn't expecting what I heard. You can definitely tell you had some big time 90's heavy metal influences. All the other times I've heard you play its been acoustic. I like the acoustic for what you do for us as far as dinner music, but my personal preference is more of this. Rock on Frank! I hope that we see your name in lights soon."
-Josh Whitman- fan from Queensbury NY
"The new song is great. It sounds like the acoustic songs godsmack did a while back. If all the songs on the cd sound like this it should be a great cd."
-DJ Mark with Total Entertainment from Glens Falls New York
"F.P. You've come along way since you played the school dance with us years ago.....the new song is very good! Got some 90's grunge flair to it.....I like it alot. Their gonna change your last name when your famous! Keep working...your get there buddy!"
-Mike Grunert- Musician from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
"The new single, "I'm Waiting" from Frank Palangi is a power-packed yet melodic modern rock song. If the rest of the cd sounds like this, I think a lot of people will like it. Frank Palangi is an artist who is on his way up."
- Joe Carroll-musician from Hudson Falls NY
"I'm waiting is a goosebump raising song that pulls you in and keeps you wanting to here more"
-The Loyalty-band from Saratoga NY
"your more metal than cast iron steel. nice tunes dude"
-The JV Myka Project-band from BALTIMORE, Maryland
"I'll Be Waiting" has some serious crunch and balls. I love the vocals. Reminds me a little of H.I.M. Catchy melody and the lyrics are easily understood. I can hear this on the radio (alternative rock). It has a dark edge, but that assertive aura coexists well with the love torn message. I am impressed. If you plan to pass through Baltimore as some point, hit me up because I work with SEN Baltimore Magazine and Comcast doing music showcases for our On Demand segments. Good luck in all you do."
