The song 'Sailor, Sailor', taken from the new EP 'And Our Afflictions Shall Be Eased', has won first prize in the adult category of the 2nd Christopher Goharriz Baha'i Song Writing Contest.

The contest was held on 3rd January 2008 at the United Kingdom National Baha'i Festival 2008, at the University of Warwick, Coventry, England.

Songs eligible for entry into the contest had to be inspired by the Baha'i Faith. Simon entered 'Sailor, Sailor' because it describes the oppression Baha'is around the world have faced, continue to face and will face in the future. Currently, the greatest oppression of Baha'is is occurring in Egypt and Iran.

The song competed against many excellent songs written by many excellent musicians to take first prize, as judged by a panel of international musicians and music producers.

The junior category of the contest was won by Courtnay Giffen.

The contest was established by Katie and Chris Goharriz, in memory of Christopher Goharriz, who passed away in 2004 at the age of fourteen. Now in it's second year, the contest continues to encourage and promote song writing and songs written by members of the Baha'i Community of the United Kingdom that are inspired by the Baha'i Faith.
