In an open letter to Obama, and in a separate plan, I proposed my own bailout plan, while congress was struggling trying to figure theirs out.  Im my plan I suggested that half the money, 350 Billion dollars go directly to homeowners struggling to pay bad mortgages.

Then, on Tuesday, during the second Presidential debate, John McCain proposed almost the exact same thing!

I guess this means my plan sucked.

Oh well, maybe next time.

In theory it is a good idea. The problem is that it would insure a loss for tax payers and give money to the lenders that were misleading consumers. The bailout is needed but it still does nothing to fix the root problem of the economy. We can do other things like changing the mortgages to keep interest rates low and extended the length (ex: 30 years to 40 years). Lenders will take a loss but not as many people will default on their mortgage.
Well anyways, there are a bunch of others ways but the main way to help fix the economy is to VOTE OBAMA!
