Hey guys! Just wanted to give all of you a little update on whats been goin on with Stygian. We are on the back end of finishing the new record(I know it's taking a bit lil longer than expected) and things are really sounding fucking great.We will most likley have a new track up on the player very soon for all of you to enjoy and to let you see whats to come in 2009.We have been taking a little bit of a break from recording and playing for the holidays and such but once 2009 rings in, we are gonna get the machine back up and running full throttle. We will be giving more updates as we get closer to the release date of the new cd which is looking to be around April/May sometime,you excited? I know we are. Well we didn't forget about you guys and we hope you didn't forget about us.Keep a look out for new vids,pix, and blogs.Well for now i wanna leave ya with my favorite cds of 08' and you guys can do the same for us,let us know what you guys listened to in 2008.Hope everyone is having a great holiday and wishing you all a  great new year!

Definitely agree with the Death Magnetic listing. Did you get to see them when they came to Philly? It was epic, I almost felt like I was in the 80's when Metallica owned anything that was connected to a speaker!....I just want to add a big part of my 2008 included Gojira's "Way of All Flesh" and Opeth's "Watershed"? What do you think of both of these bands? Gojira's drumming is pretty intense, and I don't think any band can cross jazz/acoustic/death metal like Opeth...
